Not just the weather Wakefield Rd has roadworks on them both directions around St John's Church. They are filling the subways and the roundabout in.

 

Never been so tempted to leave early as i was that day. Think the fact we were doing so well was all that kept me there

Coldest I've ever been in was in November last year, I went to.a Legia Warsaw match and it was - 7*. Luckily I had multiple layers on and they sold mulled wine for £2 which you could drink in the stands. Safe to say no one sat down at that game.

 

Yeovil away last season was a cold, cold day for many reasons.

There were 15 players in City shirts on the pitch also frozen still.

 

My Met Office weather app is forecasting the temperature at 9pm to be zero, but feeling like -4 with the wind chill factor.
Definitely time for the thermal long Johns and multiple layers, methinks.

 

Look North last night looked a bit worrying weather wise. Although he did seem to think it would more likely be sleet rather than heavy snow. Met Office forecast looks somewhat better with that big front not arriving until much later. Fingers crossed, strangely looking forward to tonight’s game!

 

Of course we’re trying to make an excuse not to go to the game. I really don’t fancy leaving work early to watch us get tonked 4-0 in about -3degree temperatures. Done that already this season!

 

Very icy under foot today. Would be surprised if it is on. Health and safety around the ground and all that. However, I did leave the house at stupid o'clock so could improve through the day.

 

An' that's just the players ! Will their sport drink bottles have hot Bovril rather than 'ice' water in them ?

 

Yeah, I was out earlier at -1, is now +1.5, but it's forecast to be way colder tomorrow - Zero at about 3.00 PM.

Yes - but stronger winds this evening give us a chill factor to consider. All in all, not a great week to be out and about, let alone stood still for a couple of hours.

 

But this season we could be classed as "pointless" in which case were nearly winning!
