    The old girl had a big bowl of "Corn Beef hash" and half a French stick ready when I got home, but as you say just thawing out :thumbup:.

    Sound mate, she took an early appointment last Thursday 6th December instead of this Thursday 13th December and it's given her that extra week to get herself ready for the Christmas period.

    Back in my local in Stafford enjoying a few celebratory drinks. It was a bit wet walking back to Interchange, to get my train, but I'm just about dry again.

    Despite the weather I really enjoyed that. The tide is definitely turning.

    So no snow, as yet but the freezing rain was a nightmare up here. Live on a small courtyard development away from main roads but it has probably a 20% incline from bottom to top. Dad drives so said would meet at the top of the courtyard but me and the 2 lads set foot out of the house and literally couldn't make it up the slight incline....I went over on my arse and we literally crawled up the courtyard to the top of the road....it reminded me of my younger days after a night out....then coming home we skated down the incline...several of the paths near Grattan Rd and Lumb Lane were quite bad as we went back to the car....

    My biggest problem was getting from the car to my house after the game, the path was just an ice rink.

    Whoever named ‘freezing rain’ was spot on, that has to be up there with the coldest I’ve ever felt at a game, I’ve never seen a bottom tier retreat like yesterday

    To be fair the bottom tier of the Sunwin / West stand should be advertised as open seating as there is little protection from the weather
