Got to be realistic Fordy, if the freezing rain hits there will be a major safety issue, I'm based in Wrose, been out for an hour this morning, its dry but bloody cold. I hope we play and get 3 points, I can walk to the game, many others can't.

 

Bit chilly here today. Not walking anywhere, will take the car. Winter tyres and a country geared up for snow is a wonderful thing!

 

I'm even giving the flip flops a miss ............. smooth soles, ya see ..........

Better start putting my extra layers on now then. Been looking forward to this match, so hopefully it starts and finishes and we all get home safe

 

To be honest, it's a different type of cold here. in England, it's a much more damp cold. In Estonia, when it gets down to -30 in February, it's more of a dry, brisk cold. Catches you out, because you put on many layers. Take a phone call without gloves, and after a minute you can't feel your fingers at all.
But yeah, it's funny seeing the UK grind to a halt whenever a few snowflakes appear, but you guys just aren't prepared for it, so it's to be expected. There's places in Sweden and Norway that even have heated pavements! As I said, winter tyres (required here by law from Nov-March) really do make a huge difference. I was over in Bradford a few years back, and took the hire car out in the snow without thinking, and slid all over the place.

Listening to the guys on the radio now, you would think the game was taking place in the North Pole. Wishing everyone safe afternoons and recommending hot chocolate and blankets

 

Fashion victim. I was warm enough in the area covered by my coat. Face, toes and hands very cold though, despite the furry boots and thermal gloves.

My biggest problem was getting from the car to my house after the game, the path was just an ice rink.

I think the time for a coup has thankfully past.Maybe a gentle influx of backroom staff who could add a few stars to our catering operation?

 

Would imagine they would travel up tomorrow as they stayed over last season anyway.
