Wash seats

I did ask previously that we were selling old battered seats on eBay and are we skint but didn’t get much of a response.
This is almost taking the piss. Sparks has some good ideas but this one.... not so much.

 

What do those who have to do Community Service as part of their sentence from the Courts do? Could the powers that be be approached to see if this would fall into their remit?

 

Of course not, Valley Parade is a privately owned premises on a commercial lease to a private company.

Community payback is about work within the community, not for private firms.

The supermarkets would have them cleaning shelves if that was the case.

Think more:

• Charity work
• Removal of graffiti
• Renovating derelict areas
• Clearing wasteland
• Decorating public places
• Litter picking

Things actually in the community that aren't for the benefit of privately owned businesses, who would all want free labour if they could get it.

 

So what’s it to be son? Premier League Leeds United? Top class academy, renowned first team coach, all the facilities, money to throw at your training or division four Bradford City, who as Fordy reminds us, train at a school and change manager every six months? If choose Leeds and get bombed out you can go to City anyway.
Well Dad, it’s City. What’s that? I’ve got to wash the seats? feck that it’s Leeds all the way then.

I honestly can’t see making the trainees do a bit of graft being the difference between choosing City or not.

 

Think you'll find Academy lads have not done this kind of work for several years now. The football authorities stopped it to change the balance so it's more training and classroom.
By the way I counted around 20 washing seats today

 

Send em back up the chimneys. Kids these days have it far too easy.

 

The odd bowl of gruel and a good hiding never did me any harm when we lived in a shoe box under a hole in the road.

 

You had it lucky. We lived next door and had to lick the road clean for our gruel.

I remember a winter mid 70s I guess when the club issued an appeal for helpers to clear snow off the pitch pre referee inspection being keen in those days our usual group turned up armed with shovels to join about 20 others sure enough we cleared the pitch and were asked to remain till the ref passed it fit to play
We were then ushered out of the ground with a "thanks," only to have to pay to re enter and watch the match
How many " loyalty points" would that be worth

 

Aren't they just doing the Midland Road stand.

 

Is that because they have no suite so use them more !!!

Just claimed my 1500 loyalty points for the 35 seats I washed.
