We've had some bright moments but we've also been sloppy at times. Sharpen up the final ball, continue to defend well and there are 3 points here.

Should have had a penalty too.

Scrappy game, commentary team called it a battle and that’s about right. I’d have taken a point pre match but I think we’re only a few good passes from opening them up, everytime it seems to go out of play or to a player in red.

Lewis has been poor with the ball at his feet but otherwise decent.

The whole team look fatigued. Fresh legs needed. East for Smallwood or Gilliead.

Walker has been lively, Costelloe has had some nice movement.

Cook should have had a penalty and was unlucky to hit the bar.

Walsall have way more energy than us, they’re forcing us into sloppy passes. Bring East on, some fresh legs and hopefully some more composure on the ball.

Tough first half that. Could easily be 2-0 down. As Brad said, let's shake up our midfield as getting outplayed. Matter of time until their set plays find us out

Could easily be 2-0 up too. I don't think they've really been any better than us, we just need to sharpen up a bit. I think this game is made for Banks.

They've had a quite a few (answering my own question) most recently Sam Johnstone who now plays for Palace. Jimmy Walker was always decent, John Ruddy, Clayton Ince, and also a former Bantam other than Richard OD...Mark Paston. He was pretty decent for us in the short time we had him.

If you're posting that BBC pish to prove a point then I happily say you're not watching the game. Large parts of that half we were getting battered.

Our poor passing isn't helping either

Not a terrible half. Some uncharacteristic performances including a few terrible distributions from Lewis and more notably, a relatively poor performance from Walker who looks leggy.

Costelloe movement has again been decent, more so from the start and less towards the end of the half. Halliday’s distribution has been decent but we’re missing the same from the opposite side.

Cooks header was very good and unlucky. Walker should have done better with his two efforts on his left, although his one-two and run at the defence was good and something we’ve not seen enough of tonight.

It’s a game for subs IMO. We need to come out at them from the off of the second half - there seems a few pockets of space for us between the CMs and CFs, need to get on the ball more in those positions and cause more trouble.

Clayton done nothing need some fresh legs on.

I'd take him off put smallwood back in middle and Banks out on the left or right switched with gillead.

I don't think there's any part of that half where we've been battered. Their long throws give them an air of dominance that's nor real. Lewis has made a couple of standard saves from distance. We've come closest to scoring and should have had a penalty. Probably 60/40 in their favour that half, and we haven't really gotten out of 1st gear. We'll win this.

Clayton has done nothing because he’s had nothing much to do as the ball is going down the flanks mostly!

We've given them confidence as much as anything. When we attack their defence doesn't seem confident. I'd like to see Banks on and driving at them.

Our first touches have been ropey across the whole team tonight. Very sloppy even trying to string 3 or 4 balls together.
