It's a fair point, but I remember the same things being said about the players not knowing what the tactics were when Stuart was here and Bowyer before him. Have we really been that unlucky to have 3 successive managers that can't communicate to the players what they want them to do, or do the players need to take some responsibility? It's like when Jones was getting frustrated on Saturday about nobody pressing, these are professional footballers we are talking about here, they should know that is what they should be doing without having to be reminded every 5 minutes! No matter what profession you are in, there should be an expectation that you get the basics right as a matter of course. I would quite rightly get a rollicking from my boss if I wasn't doing that, why should footballers be any different?

Very good point, although it wasn't the fans fault that Gibson was allowed to leave I for one haven't got a problem with the way he celebrated his goal (which I could see coming).
You are bang right about the lack of reaction from our players, the only player who looked to be getting angry and frustrated about the the situation was Songo'o.
To be fair to Jordon Gibson it wasn't a case of a player a player raising his game against an previous employer, he has been putting good performances in for Carlisle prior to Saturday. Nobody laid a glove on him, he was allowed to roam about finding pockets of space. Apparently Gary Jones was furious about the lack of passion and fight in the team. There was also a piece in the T&A featuring Micky Kennedy. Oh what it would be like to have those two in our midfield, players WITH fight and passion who could also play a bit.
Yes we it was a big blow Andy Cook picking up that injury when we had finally got him and Lee Angol back together but the lack of fight from the team in general was very disappointing to say the least.
Normally I don't have a big problem with Elliott Watt's occasional misplaced pass when he is trying to create something but at Carlisle he was pathetic and lethargic. There's talk of Adam's losing the dressing room, I don't buy that player's cop out. Players play for the wage/contract and the badge or our fans, including me will hold them to account.

You must look away from the pitch a lot if you think Watt's missed place passes are occasional 1975. I would say they are an occupational hazard of his general sloppy play.

If backing the players in numbers that are absolutely miles higher than any team in league two isn't enough from the fans I don't know what will be. and that's week in week out regardless of the crap that gets served up

There are teams in our league that struggle to get 1200 for home games and we have fans who will go two hours on an away trip in those numbers. The players need to get that inside their pea sized brains.

I think any player or managerial staff that were here when Edin was here should leave. Get rid of them and their inability to build a fun and compelling work environment. We cant blame the players completely or the managers we have had as theres far too many examples of quality turned dross and backwards momentum. It cannot be coincidence can it?

We had jack payne and butterfield in L1 alongside talented players and ever since that season we have looked laboured. Its painful to watch and its dragging on like the pandemic but this is totally avoidable.

The players will play when the culture and working environment are on point. That then feeds into the crowd and the backroom staff. Everyone is in it together. When was the last time it felt like that at city?

Sparks, Odonnel, mick in commercials, whoever else was there when Edin chewed us up and shat us out should get on their bikes.

Bloody Dom Poleon, BRE, gibson and Patrick goading us fans was the last straw. As though we are to blame for paying their wages and watching them fail each week. Sparks and crew just dont feel the same pain as us, he hasnt got the edge we need and the other hangers on need to do whats right and leave.

Jack Payne the same Jack Payne who also gave up once he’d sealed a big payment ????
He looked very good until City did a deal and once that happened he simply couldn’t give a toss

Payne didn't seal a big payment. We paid more to Town to keep him but that had no bearing on him as he had the same figure going into his bank every week regardless.

True, but after Sparks 'we will fight them on the beaches' pre season speeches you can't just disappear. I think it was a sensible move to take a step back from the toxic platform that is twitter but not to vanish totally when reassurance is vital right now and needed more than ever
