See I disagree agree with this and believe it's short term thinking mate.

Bowyer might not be here after the weekend. I highly doubt he will be here next season.

Bowyer has no game plan so why bring players that are all defensive minded.

Problem we have is Rhodes because he is clueless to see how he wants the club to play. The fans want attacking football and if Bowyer leaves then it means a mass clear out again because Bowyer doesn't know what he's doing in the transfer market.

We don't even play the basics of football.

I would rather us have a plan moving forward you know like clubs like Swindon do.. it's not hard but we don't have football people at the club and it's killing us!

Bowyer plays football on hope, he has no idea what he's doing. We need a manager that knows how he wants to play and gets players in to suit.

Fans and Bradford City as a club are just wasting their money under Bowyer.

Because we still have a chance of promotion despite the current form and somewhat dire football. Look, I ain't happy with the situation and I guess neither are a lot of others but promotion to this club is worth potentially a million plus in terms of TV money, sponsorship and extra season ticket sales. The situation inherited by Bowyer is a lot worse than people know and, this is coming from me who has hated the football this season, the priority is everyone pulling together for the remaining games of the season. If Bowyer fails then by all means sack him off but as it stands there is still a damn good chance of league 1 football next season. Summer is the time when a lot of the clubs problems can be solved and I'd rather they be solved in league 1.

See it's funny as I believe we don't stand a chance under Bowyer and the form table will highlight that.

A team 3rd from bottom in the form table and a team with 4 points from 15 has no chance of promotion.

If Bradford City are serious about going up then if he loses or draws on Saturday then they must sack him.

As for what Bowyer inherited, we can only base things on football and his football is dire, he looks clueless and buys players then wants them out - it's a mess under him. He has made the Edin situation even worse. The club needs Rhodes to leave and Rupp out but that's a different conversation. On Bowyer he just isn't the right man for the club. Fans don't like him. It's a problem.

We won't be in league 1 next summer! You're hanging on to hope with Bowyer!

Change now, get a manager in with a plan for the future and move forward.

I just don't see how we go up under Bowyer at all!

I totally agree except that as a matter of fact Taylor is quite tall at least 5’10’’ , I guess.

Liverpool would have rejected our bid for Salah. Not many two bit League 2 clubs are signing £4m strikers, especially ones who have a style of football Dave Basset would describe as ‘a bit agricultural’.

No manager will change this round, the problems will take longer than 6 months to fix. Problems like certain players stealing a large salary, players signed by the last regime. This is a squad put together on a shoestring due to the extreme excesses of Edin Rahic. Some of these problems will be gone in the summer.

Wasn't the comment 14 months ago when Rahic was dumped that "it will take five years to get this club back on an even keel"

    Can't remember who said it

You're like a stuck record. Why you or anyone else thinks that the board see Bowyer been on borrowed time, given that Rupp will be logically thinking that changing the last two managers quickly, didn't exactly work out - simply defies logic

The board are not going to sack Bowyer after the Oldham game, even if we lose 5-0

Now, if we lose all our matches in February - culminating in Plymouth stuffing us at home, then - it's a goer

A surprising number of Scunthorpe fans, are shaking their head in bemusement at yet another one of their managers been given no time and they're 15th

It's absolutely stupendously bonkers to think that sacking Bowyer, right now, will do anything more than make you and the other non-realists happy. That is until 12 matches into the next managers regime : unamused:

One of the most amazing things I’ve ever heard in football came from ghf lips of Gary yesterday. He said he would never stand in the way of a footballer who wanted to better himself by moving to another club at a higher level. So he’s seriously saying it’s okay for your captain and goal scorer to up sticks and move two days before the deadline. That is an insult to our intelligence and what message does it send to the players - yes it’s okay to leave lads if you’re bettering your career. I want my manager to put my club first. Otherwise what’s the point of having a manager. But then it’s all claptrap because who could say going on loan to Tranmere is a career move.

I agree. So basically we were never in the market and it was all some kind of charsde fooling no one. Maybe we felt like big players while we made the phone calls.

See not having this at all.

Ok, first of all mr Rupp is proving no different to Edin. So let's not make out we are under a new regime as such because I seeing nothing from Mr Rupp.

Anyway, let's stick to Bowyer.. if you say no manager won't change anything in 6 months then sure you require a manager that has a plan? Surely you require a manager that has a blueprint for the game? Not a manager that's all over the shop.

Surely you need a manager that has a good network and knows what players he wants.

I'll never ever forget what Darby said when Parky phone him to join " I want a team of leaders! And I see you as one of them" - Parky knew what he wanted! That's how you build. Not sign Vaughan who you know is a hot head on a 3 year contract then get rid 6 months later because you can't handle him being a hot head.

Back to Bowyer, his football is dire and fans are bored which will results to less season tickets being sold.

Can he get us up, I see no chance so we are just wasting time.

If you say these problems will be gone by the summer (Rhodes and Rupp?) then if Rhodes loves the club he will give us half a chance of going up under a new manager or at least get to build on something with a manager that knows what he wants to do!

Woolery coming as part of Doyle deal. Could be a good signing as he his very fast down the wing useful on the break
Agree with you seems a long time ago that when we were down at Swindon making fun of them about Doyle's return then saying that they would drop like a stone when Yates was recalled. Well Wellens and Swindon have at least been positive in trying to strengthen their squad to try to make a serious bid for promotion (wether they are successful or not) that's all the fans of any team can want. All we ask is for is that our club does the same.

You see this is the kind of realistic logic I can agree with. You and I differ widely in what we think is acceptable to watch - but agree that changing the manager will solve nothing

Fordy and the others seem to have missed that having three (full time) managers in less than a year hasn't worked at a single club, probably in the entire pyramid

I'm still waiting for all these 'sack the manager' fanatics to tell us what they thought about Phil Parkinson at this time in his regime 7 years ago

Bowyer though is vulnerable. We now have four fairly straightforward matches before the Newport match - but these are actually the ones we've slipped up. If you think about it the Salford (who I think are half decent) Colchester and Cheltenham performances were not bad and if repeated from now until the end of the season, could give us a positive outcome

But a poor February and like I did with Stuart, I'll probably think it's time for him to go

I remember Bowyer saying himself it would take three transfer windows to get the squad to where he wanted it. He might not even get that time.....

A really good point. Obviously no one would apart from Bradford City AFC. The C stands for charity. You can work out the F yourself.
