In fairness, you said “he’s been locked up” and “it’s serious”. I’m not claiming the rumour is correct, i merely said that others suggested it, but you suggested he committed a serious crime, so unfair to criticise me for delivering an opinion that i made clear wasn’t even mine.

I'd say stating 'fairly obvious he won't play for the club again' is a bit more than just an opinion.
Point is Wilsden, the only fact we know at this stage is that the club have suspended him. That's it. Anything else is pure speculation and rumour at this stage and like you say, some of those rumours are dangerous as they stick, regardless of whether it turns out there is any truth in them or not so I absolutely agree with you that people need to be very careful about what they post. But if you can't then see the hypocrisy in posting a statement which suggests you believe whatever he has done is so serious he will never play for us again, without knowing with any certainty what that thing is then you are right, there is no hope, especially for Tyrell it seems.

 

With a bit of luck he might just have been outspoken towards Rahic and Collins for none playing time let’s be honest Killgallon is being punished for being to old and player of the year so it’s not impossible for Robinson to be suspended for telling the pair of them to sod off or maybe in a bit stronger language. I just hope it is an internal issue that can be put to bed early we need him to show the form he had last season. But knowing how Rahic thinks he will probably sell him and make it an excuse to get rid.

Think about it, if I was to identify any of the posters on here and speculate that they have committed an illegal act I'm confident I'd fall foul of the 2013 Defamation Act.

You can't just say what you want on the Internet without consequences.

 

Spreading rumours can be deemed as defamation of character and, while it is unlikely, people have been successfully sued for it - whether they were the instigator of the rumour or not!

 

Smacks a bit of the Paul Taylor situation to me. Club statement announcing suspension - no reasons given but contract cancelled. Everyone thinks the worst and that his football career is over and then he is signed by Doncaster from the same division in the next transfer window! Whatever the reason at the moment I hope its not as serious as it might imply by thinking the worst. He had a very promising career with us and recently recognized by his contract extension.

The difference being that the statement regarding Paul Taylor's departure had plenty of detail including quotes from Abbott and a reason for the departure albeit "personal - non football related - reasons".

Purely guesswork but the blunt nature of the club's statement regarding Robinson's suspension suggests to me that its something out of the club's control. Meaning the rumour mill should be wary until more detail emerges.

Well, I'd like to think a solicitor would know better than to spread unsubstantiated rumours of serious allegations around, whether they they were suggesting they were true or not.
