Huge blow for City, promotion hopes will definitely suffer as a result of this loss.

 

Not saying that but speculation flies around this time of year. What intrigues me is Plymouth have already signed a bucket load in this window to add to a very strong squad. He may not get the game time which wouldn’t please Villa. That’s the basis of my comment nothing more.

 

I did think he may not walk straight into the first team but others have suggested a similar style of player has been recalled to their parent club so maybe he is a like for like replacement?

Anyway Simon Parker has done a piece on it so presumably their is some mileage in the story?

 

You would hope that city would be in regular dialogue with all parent clubs of loanees. hope they can do something as Wright is more likely to get game time with us than at Plymouth.

 

The thing is do we gamble and leg us up with a huge salary that will take up a good % of next seasons budget IF we don't get promoted?

 

Why do the need to please Villa their letting him leave

 

He signing a permanent deal as far as i've read so Villa won't care less how much game time he gets.

That's how I understand it. He's signed for Plymouth not been loaned out to them.

 

Daft move for the lad. At least it’ll be a warmer bench in Plymouth.

 

Makes sense for Plymouth to sign several players, as they'll need them next season in the Championship.

Whether Ty gets the game time immediately is less important than just signing a good player for the future.

I'm also not convinced is does much for team morale for us to be bringing back a player that rejected us, when we're having our best half to a season since 1998/9 - which by the way was just a point more.

(mind you the 2017/18 start was just as good and we all remember what happened then!!)
