Like a lot on here I often visit other teams chat rooms. By a long long way, we are the most miserable, cynical, sarcastic and negative bunch of any site I have ever looked at. Sometimes it amazes me why any player or manager would come to us if they had viewed this forum and seen themselves written off before the ink even left the pen.

 

Sellars has burnt his bridge.

 

It's what Adams does. Have a look at what he did at his previous clubs before you start telling people to wake up.

 

If Adams is 100% on board with it then I'm happy with this appointment

Because he is confident in his own ability. He doesn't see Trueman as a threat. He sees someone who knows the club who he feels he can work with.

 

Why is it? Have you not seen any of Derek’s interviews when he joined us, or indeed other clubs? He’s on record as saying he assesses the club he’s going to, the personnel, and makes a decision. Sometimes he’ll bring in another coach and sometimes he’ll choose someone from within.
Adams has 500 games under his belt as manager, he’s no mug. If he wanted his own man he would have brought one in no question, but he obviously thinks Trueman brings something to the table.

Some people on here are up their own backsides with conspiracy theories. Adams doesn't have a regular sidekick and feels he can work with Trueman who is also a good link with the young lads coming through, end of.

Adams has history of appointing his assistant from within the club. You've made yourself look a bit silly really.

 

Happy with this. The main gig came to early for Trueman so working alongside a proven winner will hopefully provide us with a ready made replacement when Adams leaves, (provided this season isn’t a complete disaster)..

 

You bet your boots he will be. He will have signed off on this - make no mistake.

 

We've finally got our "old City" back. On the day we sign a striker (with a recent record more akin to a defender), the co-manager, who was relieved of his duties and given a "pretend" job, only a matter of weeks ago, has now been promoted to Assistant Manager.

Has the kit man been appointed yet? Is Sparks going to drip feed the bombshell that McCall's going to be laying out the kit next season?

 

Providing the working chemistry is right between Derek Adam's and Mark Trueman from the off there absolutely no reason why this management duo can't be successful in delivering a promotion winning formula.
Adam's is a winning manger and Trueman a respected coach.
I wish our new management team all the best in their quest,securing promotion is long overdue and don't we know it.

I only come on this site to get cheered up, with its witty camaraderie, good-willed humour and respect for all, engaging in meaningful banter with my fellow knowledgeable and insightful football pundits, successful local businessmen, ex-cons and the like.
