Hopefully Julian can convince Stefan the situation is desperate and we need to act now, January might be far too late, bite the bullet Stefan and give the people asking for help a chance .

Of course he can't force the owner to spend, he will be there to advise, he says this himself, so if he does not see any of his advice being taken then I would think he'll walk away why waste his time giving advice from his experiences during his time of running Bradford City if they chose to ignore that advice.
For me he has to get Stefan to help Hopkin by giving him funds to bring some none contracted players in that he wants, January could be too late, we'll never know if Stefan has been asked and taken Julians advice until we see things happening.
I don't think his latest incentive £1 for the Oxford game will make one iota to fans returning, as good a gesture as it is, Christ fans who have bought season tickets aren't attending, he needs to change the mentality that you can't bring young players into the club to replace seasoned pro's unless they are at least as good or better.

With regards you final comment who knows, it's better to be working on the inside rather than the outside.

Can't disagree mate, Hopkin is fighting with one arm tied behind his back, dig deep Stefan and give our club a better chance of survival in league one, never thought I'd be posting this sort of stuff when these two took over.

 

And this is what I mean mate. Julian can only do so much. He can't force them to spend.

Our owners are not spending. Our owners have been cutting since they got here.

Rupp clearly doesn't want to spend his money on the club.

Edin can't afford too.

We’re all assuming that they haven’t signed because of wages? How do we know that they haven’t performed in training as they are still massively unfit? I can’t see why the likes of Caddis would continue to train with us if he isn’t expecting a contract offer once he’s closer to being fit.

 

There waiting to find a free agent who can multi task as a player and goalkeeping coach.

 

I think we’re potless. We probably pinned our hopes on players accepting peanuts for a few weeks, treating it as us doing players favours by letting them get match fit for a proper deal somewhere else in January.

Maybe Caddis will come in. But that’ll be it. And I don’t see Rupp throwing any money in, in January. Hopkin will have to move players out to bring others in. Or if by some miracle we get to the third round of the cup and the draw is kind to us, we may do a late deal or two.

 

I think January will be too late, even though Julian says they are talking targets, any player we fancy will come at a premium, and as you say will Rupp pay those fees.

 

Also in January we will see the departures of Payne & young O'Brien.
