Well that's nonsense. We have had some great young talent on loan over the last 5 years. Where have you been?

 

The signings so far have been of a positive nature, young lads with a point to prove or experienced players that have resigned. But there is a lot of pressure of Cooke and Watt to make a big difference to what is essentiallythe same attack and defence as last year that struggled so badly. Some of this was due to a pathetic midfield and a terrible manager but doesn't gloss over this is largely the same team that was going backwards before lockdown. I think the key is Watt if he can do what Josh Cullen did then the others can raise their game accordingly. But its a big ask.

 

What about him?

 

We sign Elliott, Clarke, Sutton, DHM, ROD and Billy

Clarke, ROD, DHM were here last season and part of the shocking team.

Elliott is an improvement on paper but we will have to wait and see

Is Billy better than McCartan I am not so sure

Sutton is better than Danny Devine? Not convinced

So basically we haven't even improved on the 14 players we still have contracted and the players brought in are not that great.

How anyone can have a positive mindset about us at this moment I never know.

@Park bantam is living in another world if he think we have made better signings that Salford so far.

 

Maybe it's the devious cockney chancer mindset in me, but maybe Salford, Mansfield, Bolton etc are making the big signings early, then voting FOR the salary cap.

I would also have thought that them 3 clubs have sat in the EFL meetings and that league 2 is a joke. It's in danager of being non league..

We need to get out of that awful league ASAP.
