How do you know this? Have you been coached by him? Do you know his coaching methods?

I'm guessing your basing your assumptions on last season and the way the team performed?

 

I'm basing it on things I'ver heard from what I would consider a good source. I know I know, gossip, scaremongering, scapegoat etc etc. if no one else agrees with me thats completely fine but I know what I believe. and in my opinion Martin Drury is an idiot and shouldn't be employed by a professional football club.

That really is rubbish. The match on Saturday could have gone the other way and we would be sitting top . Win this Saturday and we will almost certainly be in a play off position. To say Bowyer is skating on thin ice is ridiculous and I am absolutely sure the powers that Be think so to

So what your saying is he's had a lot longer to prepare for this season than anyone else. So if anything we should be more prepared, yes ?

There is some truth in this. There is definitely a feeling of bad vibes still around the place, only natural after the fiasco we had with Rahic. And its gonna take some time yet to get rid of that, its not just as easy to forget everything that happened during the Rahic era, some of it is still here and is still having a negative effect even though he has been gone some time.
The football hasn't exactly been enthralling and it still feels like round pegs in square holes to some extent. Worse still is we will see a lot more games of the quality of Saturdays this season, a reminder if we needed one, that the punishment for letting a bat shit crazy megalomaniac loose with someone elses money is players on big contracts you don't want in a division you thought you had seen the back of.
Suck it up ladies and gents, its gonna take a while before this gets better.

So, after reading the last number of pages, I am still no further forward in guessing who we might be looking at to be one of the two signings GB hopes to make.

 

Are you happy ? I assume you've seen every game and the quality of opponents we have had. Are you happy with the start and with performances?

I'm not calling for him to be sacked at all but I believe he has failed so far up to this point. His brand of football is terrible, he repeatedly picks players that don't deserve to be picked and if this is his 5 months planning coming to fruition it's poor.

I'm hoping that the answer to my above criticism is due to him doing this to try to get more funds to bring in more players but I doubt

 

I'm happy with the start (points wise) but disappointed with the performances.

I don't think his football is terrible, I think it's very methodical - like Bowyer seems to be. I doubt this will change. In the first couple of games, and cup game, he had to play a certain way to play Doyle in order to get him off the books. I hope he's doing the same with Akpan and he have been trying the same with Scannell.

It looks so far like he's managed to sort the back 5 out which was drastically needed, which is a huge positive. Vaughan and Donaldson should be a great pairing if Vaughan can keep his head. The problem is still midfield, defensively. Offensively we just about have enough especially with Cooke and Devitt.

 

So he played Doyle as a number 10 to get him off the books? What nonsense! Why on earth would you start an unwanted player? If anything playing Doyle in his natural position and hoping he could impress was the way to get him off the books AND win games.

An offer came in for Doyle and With Shay coming back he took the opportunity so he could bring in Devitt/Cooke. It was an opportunist move and nothing more and I believe a mistake.

 

I agree. It's clearly silly to think of getting rid of GB and he has to be given time. Nevertheless, I can remember the same being said of Peter Jackson at the start of the season and those people were proved to be right. The trouble I have with Bowyer is that he seems to combine the worst aspects of PP and Stuart without any of their redeeming qualities. He's determined to play to his system even if he hasn't the players, he's stubborn and inflexible, he sees something in players no one else does and not losing is his first priority (PP). Then he worries more about stopping the opposition rather than taking the game to them and constantly tinkers with the team(SM). Like both of them he seems very slow to perceive how a game is going and make tactical substitutions. But above all he is boring and hasn't shown any propensity or desire as yet to produce attractive football. It's very early days but I've gone from really liking the guy to a feeling that he might not be the man for us. We'll see, but like RT I think it will be a long season to endure rather than enjoy.

it's not 'rubbish' is it? the only bit that could be considered rubbish would be the thin ice comment, but I meant that with my patience rather than the clubs, as I know they wont be making any changes any time soon on that front.

the rest is true. we didn't look like scoring against Cambridge, and we lost on Saturday because we didnt score, and I don't think we created a massive amount of chances either. so we do need to improve, we can't 0-0 our way up and we need to create more chances.
