Danny Hylton mentioned to Swindon, Lloyd Ishrove signed/on trial at least, they’re making some decent signings.

 

Both quality signings at this level.

Its essential that we get a couple more quality players in ourselves

 

sitting around waiting with baited breath for LUCA COLVILLE to decide whether to sign for us is very embarassing. he's not even first 11 in League 2 standard of player and our recruitment rests on his decision.

just get rid of him. he might get first team games in non league somewhere.

I don't understand the fuss. Does anyone think that his decision is holding up what we're looking to do in terms of remaining business? We'll have offered him a low value contract and a chance to be part of a professional team. I'm guessing he's not swimming with offers and his decision is an important one - he'll likely have to decide between our offer and a contract in the non-leagues. Its an important decision, let him take however long he needs. And let him wait for what advisor he feels is right for him.Its one of those whereby if he turns it down, I don't see us going to sign a 'replacement'. Either he joins or he doesn't. We'll be after a couple more, first team ready players, and it'll probably depend on outgoing business. I don't see his deal as having any bearing at all.

I'd hardly say our recruitment rests on him. I think you may be going way over the top here..

If our season rests on whether Colville signs or not then we're knackered. End of the day the club have seen something in him and made him an offer (that financially isn't very good) If he wants to wait then that's fine, I don't think waiting on £300 a week is going to stop us recruiting other players and if it does the club will act..

And 5 and a half thousand of those were about how many centre halves we have and whether the keeper is crap or not

His defence would be I'm a footballer not a lawyer therefore I didn't fully understand what I was signing. His age and relative lack of experience in the game would also count for him. It's worked in other parts of the entertainment business and I see no reason why it wouldn't with a footballer, as knowledge of contract law isn't exactly a key skillset.

 

And its also been known for years and years what a complete set of sharks football agents are, not a decision I would rush personally. As long as he keeps the club informed of where he's at I don't see the issue. Not gonna be on a big wedge either so it's not like his decision would free up a big chunk of budget.

His ability in all of this is irrelevant beyond the decision on whether or not to offer him a contract to begin with.

Didn't someone post Wheater was training with Bury, free agent no club get him in training with a view to signing, at the moment its not looking good being a Bolton player, or manager I would think.

 

Wonder if Jason Lowe would interest Bowyer. Had him at Blackburn ?
