    Not backed. Just not childish or jealous.

    He hardly played but some jealous bitter sad people came let go.

    If he's here next season, he's here but if he's not he's not. It's one of them for me. Not fussed either way but can't just single him out as he's hardly played.

    Don’t have to go back as far. Wes Morgan was signed from Dunkirk. I think at the time they were Central Midlands which is a few steps below the equivalent of Gary Birtles level. I expect is far more usual to find someone at non league in those days as big clubs didn’t hoover up any kid who could kick a ball

    I really don’t think scouting has anything to do with it. It’s being willing to take a risk. Peterborough don’t have amazing scouts but they are willing to back themselves
