Have some standards mate don't just accept what the club says and do.

We all have standards, but no influence whatsoever in what the Club do, in recruitment. And rightly so.
IF, yes IF you personally wish to make a difference ........ Leave the Forum alone, and become a target achieving BCAFC Board Member you may feel you deserve to be.

I may be completely wrong but when signings arrive early it gives the impression that the manager got who he wanted, the players wanted to come and it makes me feel more positive about things rather than a situation where we're scratching around at the last minute dragging people in.

 

I think Plymouth are the front runners, but if City are actually interested, you never know, he may wish to stay up north

 

Im not sure an attacking midfielder will be brought in until we know whats happening with mccarten. We saw what happened last year with too many 10's.. Id hazard a guess that could also be true of any of the midfield, with devive signed, and bowyer either expecteding or confident of anderson and colville signing, im not sure another central midfielder will walk in until its clear what akpan and wrights plans are

 

Mellor looked better in an advanced role, we played some of our better football in the short spell when he was pushed up the pitch.

 

It doesn't mean as a fan that you've to be happy with all the signings the club makes or do. That's just poor.

The lack of ambition by the fans is a massive reason why this club is in div 2 and not the Championship.

 

Agree, at this moment though Akpan and Wright walk into our team.

I'm not too fussed about them two. We need forward and still to sort out our defence.

To be honest we just need quality and still lacking leaders.

 

ONE ...... Devitt may possibly not want to return to VP. But also, if he's not the kind of player GB wants, then it would be disruptive to 'squad development'.

 

BUT it's not down to 'fan ambition'. It is all down to the limited resources we (City) have to operate with. The squad is still in its infancy, so far too early to judge if it's poor, or not.

 

Of course it's down to fan ambition. If you do demand then the business will do little to please as the little things it does is deemed acceptable. You're not 10.. you know how things work.

As for the squad. Sorry but we're in div 2. It's poor. Now until we're top of the league in my mind it's staying as poor and it's not to early to judge at all.

The signings made so far have been uninspiring and lack quality.

 

It’s good people are feeling a lot more optimistic but still a lot of work to do with the squad.

If it is a midfield of wright, akpan and Anderson then we lack any sort of pace/movement in there. I think we will end up getting Longstaff on loan in here if we don’t shift anyone

And then going forward. McCarten looked ok in this league last year but currently we have two wingers if Scannell stays and no cover. And then one striker.

 

Great player, underrated by many during his previous time at City and got a lot of unfair stick in my opinion.

 

Which of the signings have you got in depth knowledge of to Judge

 

Yes! I proper fell out with City last season and missed more games than in any previous season as I just couldn’t find the love or motivation to attend, especially after the Blackpool game.

However I’m ready to enjoy football and fall back in love with City again.

 

I doubt Devitt would return here after the stick he took but we get the regional tv channels that cover Carlisle and he stood out by a mile there

 

I truly hope we bring in a forward or two well before the season starts. A position that was criminally neglected in both transfer windows last season, and we ended up with a panic signing in Billy Clarke in January, and a very poor loan signing in Miller, in the summer.

Its good he is addressing the defensive problems, and hopefully building a more solid foundation than the brittle one we saw last season. I will be even more happier to see some decent additions to our striking options
