Transfer Rumours 2019/20

I agree NM this Bradford End must be a politician as he likes to cut down healthy debate and doesn't accept any opinion other than his own!

 

Anyone got any genuine transfer rumours rather than opinion and personal thought?

 

If people are going to argue about whether Rupp is disinterested or not, I think they should look up disinterested and uninterested in the dictionary. Rupp cannot be disinterested if he owns the club as that term is reserved for not having a FINANCIAL interest. It might be just about be possible that he has become uninterested if he has got bored with us despite the money it's costing him.

We should not be signing players who are on their way downwards. We need to be signing players who want to go back up. Hanson is not one of those.

Doesn’t matter if Grimsby have a good season or not

 

Gary Jones .. Thorne just two who were not at their prime but on the field did well for City.

 

Hanson despite his key goals, is not fit to lace either of their boots.

Jones came to us having been Rochdales record appearance holder and captain and the fans didn’t want to see him leave. He had bags of experience for our level and was the missing piece of a jigsaw in midfield. A bit like when McCall signed for us under Jewell (not as good as McCall obviously)

Thorne again was always a player who played in promoted sides in the league above Bradford at the time. Banging in goals for stoke and then Cardiff where he linked up with Earnshaw to get Cardiff promoted. Had it not been for injuries we would not have had the chance to sign him when we did. He would never have gone as low as league two.

Hanson again has struggled to get in sides for the last two seasons and barely scored goals. Dropping down from championship to now what looks like league two.

He is not good enough.

 

There will always be exceptions to the rule and trends that break the norm but overall I feel his point was solid.

 

I think genuine rumours will be severely limited.

Just like under Parky, guesses will fly around, then someone we've never heard of will sign.

Much better this way.

 

I think Hanson bashing is demeaning I wouldn’t want him back now but he did a very good job for us for a long time. He had his ups and downs like all strikers but overall he was a credit to himself and the club

I'm trying to recall my favourite rumour from season's past. I think the heady days, was it the summer immediately after the takeover, when we were reading posts of seven figure bids for Cullen and Burke.

 

Billy Sharp apparently signing last summer - that takes some beating.

I agree with both comments. I wasn’t disagreeing with you regarding Hanson. My point was that he’s back to his level, but sadly so are we. Would I want him back? No. But to state he’s not good enough is poor, considering we have nobody better currently and he is, at present, playing for a side in a league higher than us.

 

He was only ever nearly signing though. Billy Sharp was actually signing. Followed us on Twitter and everything.

 

Saying he's not good enough isn't "bashing".

 

The vast majority know what the lad offered Phil Parkinson and the team as part of that great history makes season, he's made a good living out of the game, something most Bradford City fans could only dream of.
