    “Mark Lawn, City’s joint chairman, rejected the approach but The Yorkshire Post understands a buy-out clause was inserted in the three-year deal Parkinson signed in 2013 that would allow a rival club to speak to the Bantams’ chief. So far, United have not activated that condition by agreeing to meet the fee“.

    Absolutely no evidence that PP was about to jump ship and as Phil himself said, he was continuing to make plans with our owners

    Chief operating officer James Mason said: “Bradford City can confirm there’s been no contact with the club from Bolton Wanderers about Phil.

    “I’ve just spoken to Phil Parkinson who is on a well-earned break on holiday with his family and who is busy already preparing for next season with Bradford City.

    “We don’t know where the rumours came from but can only suggest it’s that time of year when the names of successful managers crop up for vacancies.”

    June 10th

    Phil Parkinson is leaving Bradford City to become Bolton's new manager. Follow his unveiling press conference from the Macron Stadium.

    "Last few days when I've been away spent a lot of time looking at the (Bolton) players and what would be needed if I got the chance to speak to (chairman) Ken (Anderson)"

    "I knew of an interest over the last few weeks through my agent"

    Naive? At least I don’t change the goalposts sunshine....!

    What the feck has any of the above got to do with some claim that PP was set to join Blades if we had accepted the offer. He turned down Blackpool and Coventry so why was it a certainty he’d leave for Sheff U????

    Wouldn't discount us going for a couple of Prem loanees to cover any eventual Wyke departure. There was talk from Edin that such would be available at the end of July when Prem squads had been resolved.
