I think that's the biggest disappointment for me. We've done so well to get rid of dead wood like poleon, McMahon, Vincelot etc and signed a lot of good players for this level. But we've neglected the striker position. We still have Brunker and Patrick who are completely useless to us, an injury ravaged Jones and an average Miller. Doyle aside our striker options are dreadful.

 

Ched Evans with a couple of more goals tonight already for Fleetwood. Think that's twice as many as our entire team pit together so far.
Have we missed a trick there, I wonder?

Don’t see Cullen as a ten, his strength is in central midfield where he can dictate the game. Would be perfect as part of a two in the centre. Changed our whole season when he first came and would do the same again, unfortunately won’t happen.

 

Exactly what I was thinking and so many supporters now feel the same. What a shame. A horrendous start to the season, glaring deficiencies in the squad which if the T&A is to be believed, are unlikely to be properly addressed, no motivation/organisation likely from the three stooges on what we’ve seen so far, and yet more stories of underhand tactics to get rid of our better players brought in by the previous regime. What a crying shame when you look back 4 years. Gutted

Just about totally agree with you. Without going into the millionth debate about Brunker, I do think there's a time and place for him in the squad. I thought he should have come on with Gibson and Colville on Sat just to put himself about and like those 2 would have tried which is more than the other players did, I also thought he should have come on with 15 to go against Burton as the ball just kept coming back. As rubbish as he may or not be he's a unit, can win headers and hold the ball up - something we haven't had this season.

 

Zach Clough from Notts Forest to Rochdale - that's an amazing loan signing for this division....

 

Hopkin has indicated in today's T&A that he has drawn up a list of players he wants Rahic to target both in January and the summer.

It sounds to me that he taken on responsibility for recruitment. Can't be any worse than Abbo in identifying targets that's for sure

It’s the Wyke deal that needs hurrying. If he isn’t going to sign a new deal the sooner he is sold the better because what we need and what we can afford hinges on it

 

Anyone seen the rumour about the fitness coach leaving after an apparent bust up with Edin? Wouldn't be great loss if true, our fitness last year was poor compared to previous seasons .

 

If we do sign him I hope he will be wearing squad number 5.
