too late for auto promotion?

Facts maybe but I find it curious. Two days ago we've no chance of play-offs and the seasons written off. Today its all to play for. The fact is we're in exactly same position (points wise) as we were two days ago. The renewed optimism has really nothing to do with anything statistically factual.

Jordan could have carefully compiled his excellent analysis two days ago and have been written off as a madman - now he's getting plaudits. I would suggest the conclusions from Jordans analysis is more to do with sentiment than it is facts.

 

It was fact that we were in free fall with no chance of turning it around under GB that's why. Only my opinion is that we do have some good players on the books and I think we'll start scoring goals under McCall. If my prediction is right that should see the W column increase giving us a greater chance.

 

I don’t know, when I was in the depths of despair about promotion, oh was it only last week. My husband said to me, auto’s are still on, we are only 7 points, and we have to play most of them. I just looked at him in disbelief, he did caveat that with, but although he thinks it is achievable it would require a positive mind set and the ability for the manager to get his finger out and change the way he plays.

 

We were going nowhere except further down the table whilst Bowyer was here.

 

I think a trend is something that is likely to continue - if you want to change a trend, change something that has the potential to impact on what you’re trying to change. We want to win games, so we’ve changed a defensive minded manager to a more offensive minded manager. In my mind, we now should have more opportunities to win games. The fact that Jordan has produced indisputable facts, gives me hope that our change does give us a chance.

 

Under Bowyer we would have picked up points sporadically at home but we wouldn't have won many away because he was too busy trying to contain the opposition's threat than to pose a threat of our own.

Under Stuart we will probably be a bit more open but at least we can start to pick up points on the road again - making a top seven finish (or better) a possibility. That wouldn't have happened under Bowyer.

 

Think back to to Blackpool home and away before promotion v Notts County, we manged to into a play off position at time and hit a good run of form.
