Today finally settled it

I thought that in 2007 but I took six years to get out and in two of those seasons we nearly went in the other direction.

 

I'd hope win a few more or we've got the likes of Halifax to look forward to.

The issues are around that dickhead whom has destroyed the club both off and on the field. Whilst folk like you sat on your hands saying nothing and asking for time, criticising fellow supporters for trying to undertake positive action in flyovers et Al, casting doubts around his ownership (but all you came back with where is the evidence) and you have the front to blame fans if they don't come next season. Wow just wow.

The fans are not to blame and have the right to abstain from attending next season. We will survive but it'll be hard work and I'm sure a slog. As @Idlebantam states a bit of communication from Rhodes and Rupp ( who shares the culpability of edin) would be useful. I find that more of a problem than supporters abstaining.

As for next season just like you @Park bantam ill be there. Thick and thin.

Since we've been in the lower divisions for most of the time I've supported City dropping into League 2 should be disappointing, but not entirely unexpected. What really hurts is that we'd made so much progress on and off the pitch and were in touching distance of the promised land of the Championship. Then it's been destroyed in no time by two foreigners who had no understanding of either our history or the English game in general. Soon they will both be gone, to lick their wounds and shrug off the loss of their reckless investment without it affecting them too much. It affects us, though, and will do for a long time to come. That's what really hurts.

I watched Harrogate today, no great shakes, no players that stood out to me, the talent was in Maidenhead's team, tiny midfield too. But a team that went into every challenge like their life depended on it. Bob's yet uncle, 6th in the League.

 

Who is blaming the fans. It’s a fact if at the price we pay for tickets people don’t buy the. Then the club will go bust.. if you are happy with that get on with it. As I say it matters not a jot what has happened before it is simple economics.

At the price we pay it will be a loin cloth. We can’t complain about anybody running the club when a couple of bad years and we give up on the club.

 

Yes I've always said you have to have bad times to enjoy the good times, some shocking memories of the past, many because as a club we couldn't compete for whatever reason but to be where we are at the moment not just the playing side but the club as a whole is a little frightening.
I can accept relegation life will go on but to think that one individual has put our club into it's present position is hard to take, Stefan has said he will do all he can to make up for Rahic's mess but he hasn't bottomless pockets and can't/won't keep funding the club IMO.
I believe the word will be out that Stefan will listen to offers for our club, I believe as a business man he knows things can't be put right over night by just plowing money into the club, yes finance is important but going back to our recent success's not merely did we have two owners who were fans but a manager and backroom staff who also felt Bradford City was their club, and of course a little good fortune along the way.

2. Your disgusting point that if the fans desert the club then it will die. Wrong and you fail to recognise or just blatantly ignore my point. The blame is with Edin and Stefan, not the fans, if the "club dies"

 

I was a little surprised when Gary Bowyer was sat alone at the press conference new man into the club and no support from people at the top even Paula Watson would have given the guy a little support.

I'm sorry if this looks like another Stefan bashing post but even I'm sure Rahic didn't think things he was doing/introducing were bad for the club.
The new owners got very lucky Stuart was left the backbone of a very useful squad and added more quality to that squad even taking Mark Marshall into being the player of the year with his performances, he took us to Wembley where our owners must have thought this football game is piss easy.
That was the time when Rahic wanted rid of Stuart, Stefan should have looked more closely as to why rather than taking Rahic's side which ultimately lead to or demise, the more I talk to people near the club the more I see what Stefan possibly took Rahic at his word, I just wish fans/employees of the club could have got to Stefan sooner and told him of the damage both internally and externally Rahic was doing.
Yes I'll be buying two season tickets for the coming season more out of loyalty to the club I have invested 60+ years of my life supporting,at the moment I can't offer another reason, we go again .
