Hey, it's fantastic that you and @Silverbantam@Silverbantam are calling fans for not renewing.

Yet your apathetic approach under the tenure of Edin. Absolutely amazing.

Staying away is the wrong option at a critical time.

Stefan has said he'll patch up the £2m hole in the wall, but I imagine we must be close to another overspend already given we'll be in L2 with players on cushy, long term contracts.

It's patently obvious we won't be challenging for promotion next season, we'll be reduced to bringing in cast offs and gubbins from smaller teams to stay as near to budget as possible (without actually getting anywhere near) - that said, how is staying away going to help?

Genuinely concerned that those tempted to give it up as a bad job might do so for more than just the next few seasons.

Evening Jon. I agree. Support is needed but the inevitability is that we will lose support. Even had we not had 3 years of Edin and Stefan and got relegated, support would dwindle and the challenge would be great in league 2.

I agree with the sentiments of Park. It is our club and support the team through thick and thin. But to suggest the club will die if fans do not buy St's. And Silverbantam, rats deserting the sinking ship?

I'm sorry but we have "fans" who call others out, yet sat on their arse ignoring the obvious problems when Edin was here, destroying the fabric of the club.

Must be just me who takes exception.

Ironically the younger supporters are one of the reasons that will put me off travelling to games in the future. Years ago and even more recently back in league two, it was the younger supporters who created the atmosphere and supported the club. There now seems to have inherited a new generation who are often pissed or off their heads, aggressive, moan and betrate players, argue and confront their own supporters or set bloody flares off! The latter shows there is zero consideration or probably knowledge of why this would be so much of an issue at our club. Perhaps this is a general reflection of a young generation, but I for one have no interest or enjoyment been around it.

A change in leadership behind the scenes and a return to a club with a clear and realistic strategy would naturally re-energise my love for this club. However going to games and being called a f**king pr*ck by a young idiot ain’t how I’m interested in spending my weekend and certainly not what I want to bring my little one into.

Cheap ticket part timers? Come on you have read these boards and their are folk of 30 years that are suggesting they are out. I think we both know, your statement lacks a little truth ..

As for more positivity under lesser crowds... Don't remember it being like that under Lawrence, Todd, Jacko and the worst manager in my 33 years support, John Docherty to name a few. Many a moan and criticism within those times ....

The coverage at times today was laughable, saying we weren't playing that bad when in truth we absolutely dire. Going on about how we deserved a point because of our supposed good defending when in truth a good side would have put at least 5 or 6 past us. And saying we deserved a point when we didn't have a solitary shot on goal is quite frankly taking the piss.

You and I both know Edin Rahic was to blame, and we should have got him out sooner - shame on those resisting his expulsion - but no good can come of fans turning down cheap season tickets and walking away.

At BEST, it's going to make us even less competitive than we can already expect.

I just don't see the benefit.

I have to say neither Park or Silver strike me as the ones who should be leading a call to arms given their support for the ruination of what we had a couple of years ago.

And you're right, a decline in uptake is inevitable, but I'd hope that fans with the time, money, and practical means to make it to League Two games do so - the club need to take some affirmative action NOW in order to minimise the damage, as the disconnect between fans and the club in the Rahic era still seems to be there. Only positive steps are going to help bridge the divide.

Nope, but while Stefan propped up and enabled the Rahic regime, he also ended it and took financial responsibility.

I would never mention Stefan's name in the same critical breath as Edin Rahic. He was the manipulator, the controller, and he is 90 % to blame for the situation we are in now.

One of them won't be here after the seasons end and the other one wishes he wasn't. Combine that with a manager who is here for eleven games. Its like the Bismarck going round in circles with a broken rudder.

For some it is easier to not challenge authority and to go along with the rhetoric they spout.

And what really is getting on my tits, is the free hit Stefan is getting in all this. The farce continues since Edin went, yet all goes quiet on challenging Stefan despite the dramatic collapse of our club. I want to hear from Stefan, our owner. I want to know his plans for OUR CLUB, direction, ideas but all I hear is silence.

    Why?

If your hanging on in hope of hearing from Rhodes? You'll be there forever ! He's never fronted up ever to my knowledge ? For me he has culpability again with the mess we are once again mired in. It will outrage many I'm sure but he can clear off for me !

You've definitely raised a very valid point here. As you rightly say we have attracted even at this level a nucleus of young idiots who have already shown themselves to be trouble on our travels. Think Rochdales pyrotechnics for one instance ! Now you can Police that to a certain extent in League 1 because of the better standard grounds. But just imagine the same idiots rocking up at Solihull or some other ram shackled inadequacy ? Pissed up and drugged up !. I have seen drugs passed amongst these idiots at Yeovil and Accrington in recent times. A big lad turned up on the terrace at Accrington this season. Could barely climb the terrace he made it money was passed to him for a small package !. He then bungled his way back out to the exit as I watched him over the back of the terrace. He made his way out to a car ! So he paid to get in to deliver whatever ? Then cleared off (I thought "county lines"?). But back to the point a load of these idiots rocking up at some very basic grounds with less "policing" and it's going to be out of control. These idiots will be going think "we're Bradford City we'll do what we like !.

It happened with Guiseley in the National League and split the support. A bunch of young idiots attached themselves to the Club and travelled to games. Guiseley ordinarily would take 70-100 away but these kids started appearing pissed up and on something causing trouble. Some of them I have seen at City games home and away. They smashed the seating up at Mansfield in an FA Cup tie !.

But you raise a very valid point Away days for Bradford City next season are dreadful prospects which ever way you look at it. But add in this "toxic ingrediant" plus the frustrations that "we are too big to be there" and we"ll just do what we want and it's a recipe for trouble. It's a warning worth heeding !

If this is the cull of (mostly) cheap ticket part timers, then so be it and leave behind a crowd more positive in their efforts towards getting back up, no doubt if/when we do they’ll all be back.

In the end it was this element that stopped me getting a season ticket. The whole experience just became a chore.

I hated hearing morons abuse and betate players and managers I actually liked because we were "only" winning 1-0 and and and were "boring". Completely ruined the match day experience and made me realise how much I dislike some of the people involved in our club.

The downturn in the on field performances just added to that but it was definitely the general atmosphere around the club that started my current malaise.

I don’t think it lacks truth, I tried to imply that longer term fans were included when I added ‘most’ but fair enough if that wasn’t clear.
At the end of the day, we don’t support this club because we’re glory supporters, it’s 95% slog for those 5% unreal days of Chelsea and the like, through thick and thin. If there are die hards/decade long supporters willing to wash their hands of things then let them get on with it but I don’t expect them to come rushing back when things eventually turn themselves round whenever that may be. I don’t need to tell you this, it’s bread and butter for lower league fans but we’ve had bad times before and we will again, but as supporters we’ve watched us nearly go bust, be relegated before and nearly drop out of the league not that long ago, but we’re still here, I’d hope most would stick around whatever rather than just giving up when we’re in this particular rut.
