Change the bleeding record @Fordy117@Fordy117. You hijack every thread repeating the same old crap about Bowyer, Rupp and Rhodes. Unless you've got £10 million mixed amongst your porno mags under your mattress, who else is going to buy the club?

I agree with @XCIV_Bantam@XCIV_Bantam, the negativity on this forum and towards players who've just joined the club is terrible. We've seen what happens when things turn toxic and now there's nowhere left to fall.

How many managers have been successful at this club in the last 20 years, 3 maybe? You make it sound like the good managers are just there to be picked. The odds are that the next one will fail just as badly.

Until we have a 5, 10, 15 year plan nothing will change.

Why don't you focus on supporting the team rather than being hell bent on canvassing as much anti Bradford City feeling as you can.

I am always believer if you can’t do anything about a situation then it is time to just roll up your sleeves and get on with it. That doesn’t mean I am happy with the management of this club, but there is absolutely nothing I can do about it today. I deplore the lack of communication from the club, mushrooms come to mind!

Enough is enough this is our team and atm we are in the playoffs and in theory still in with a chance. I want to welcome all our new players, they will be excited and chomping at the bit to get started and bringing enthusiasm and confidence to the team which is always like a shot in the arm to any team. It is a new day, and anything is possible.

That was a new low yesterday if that's possible. In the space of a week I've seen two of the worst performances in 40 years, proper drubbings by clubs who were badly struggling themselves. Both results should have been at least 6 - 0. We haven't had a performance of the likes of what Oldham or Mansfield produced all season. When I said a month or two ago that Bowyer had been lucky I was lambasted but I was right, the performances didn't merit a playoff place let alone the automatics.
Summer time is the only time this club can start to heal, the wounds are too deep. But that needs a clear out from top to bottom, the January transfer window showed that no one at the top really cares about the direction we are heading. I love this club, I always will but the organisation itself stinks the place out.

I know it won't happen but Rupp out, Rhodes out and Bowyer out.

Best post I’ve read on here for a long time - absolutely spot on.

Some say the club is driving supporters away. For me there’s an element of some of our own supporters driving others away when you hear and read some of the comments that come out.

This window is far from a disaster as some are making out, and there is still one unannounced name to come:

DMH - has anyone followed his career and performances closely since he last left? We’ve bleated on about needing width and pace within the squad and he brings that. Can some not be satisfied and give him a chance before writing him off?

Novak - decent past. Good experience and often a name that causes teams problems in the lower leagues

Guthrie - ok unknown. Stats are decent enough so unless anyone has an educated insight on him, let’s give the lad a chance.

Oteh - divided opinion. Did ok but wasn’t going to make or break the season.

Palmer - didn’t work for him for whatever reasons. Others ahead of him in starting XI so best for all he moved on.

Vaughan - a strange one, but for one reason or other he or the club wanted him to move on. Again, not had the desired effect we would have all hoped for despite a decent goal return. From a player for player POV, what did Vaughan give that Novak can’t?
From a club captain POV it wasn’t the leader I was hoping for, definitely not in the Gary Jones, Stuart McCall, Stephen Darby mould.

Doyle - we never played to the strengths he obviously has. Poor execution by the club on this one and based on his comments since officially leaving, then I’m happy for MY CLUB that he’s gone. Good luck to him, disappointing for and by us, take it on the chin and get over it.

Window is done - one more to be announced. Time to get our heads down, get behind the club and all do what we can to try get promoted.

Alternative option - moan about everything we do. Berate the players and management. Create tension between all. Make following the club a miserable experience for all connected and essentially leave ourselves open to be exploited by each opposition we come up against.

There’s plenty of time for a reconciliation at the end of the season. There’s a campaign to play for which we are still very much in the mix of. Can’t we come together like we have in the past and work towards what i hope we all want???

Really really really dark days for the club.

ive slept on it and still feel the same. Bowyer and Drury MUST be relieved of their duties first thing on Monday morning, and a new face brought in at the very least to the end of the season.

if they aren't removed and the longer this goes on, i fear the whole future of this football club is in jeopardy, supporters cant take any more of this failure and less and less will turn up to games with that man in charge.

    Desperate times.

It is really getting to me how toxic this forum has got recently. I get home from work and see 90% of this forum is moaning about how a player we havent heard of must be terrible. Just an echo chamber of depressing opinion. To be honest im just sick of it. Hanson came from nowhere and so did nakki wells.

Aye, clap harder you b******s. That'll make everything alright.

While you do though, have a genuine think how we get behind and support a team that has had just 12, yes TWELVE shots on target in the last 8 games and yesterday a previously poorly placed Oldham team had NINE.

Oh and it isn't just poor finishing. In the last four games we've had 25 shots whilst showing our 4 opponents 75, that's 3 shots faced everytime we have 1.

Any ideas how to clap that absolute bag of s*** performances?

It would be great if we could get positive and get behind the team but unfortunately there is nothing to be positive about. Lose at Oldham and it’s just going to get worse. Promotion looks less likely now than it did last week. Performances and form are really poor. The manager was unable to get anything out of Doyle and not much out of Vaughan and on paper the players brought in do not look like they will be good enough to improve us and on top of that attendances are also on the slide. Would like to think it won’t get worse but it sadly it will.

Your right , the longer this goes on the more fans will switch off and go do other things it’s than a lot harder to get people back involved again . I don’t remember it ever been like this . The whole club is ruined and the German takeover has failed drastically. We may be better points off wise than 12/13 season or was up until recently but we had a full support behind us , a manager in charge who cared and a team full of players we could all relate too . This time we have nothing . There is not one player in that squad who I would be bothered if that stayed or left . Bowyer has too go now . We need to make a appointment with a 3/5 year plan in place . Clear the decks at the end of this season and start again in the summer . We need a Baldwin : mason type bloke in who can sell the club and keep us engaged . The current set up is run by people who don’t even support the club and I don’t think this works . There’s no passion about the place . The sooner we can start again the better for us all

Belief and faith are huge factors, much as I like the OP's sentiment, from the owner, through to the team and supporters how can anyone have any belief or faith in Bowyer?
The fact that he is shocked and stunned at yesterdays performance speaks volumes. After the unfortunate slip for Oldhams first goal it was game over, we nearly all knew it, including the team.
The signings we have made in the transfer window are not bad players, we do need to give them a chance, we do need to give it a real go, we do need to be positive.
The squad is underperforming, but first things first, Bowyer must go and go now, there will be no upturn under him.
I have no idea who, if anyone, we have within the club to be in charge of the team against Grimsby, maybe a senior player, but it cannot be Bowyer or Drury.

It's the coaching and the way we are set up to play. This 'caution first' attitude we've had all season is finally starting to take it's true toll. I am not in the least surprised our defence is now starting to crumble; they are under immense pressure every single game because we are doing absolutely nothing positive at the other end of the pitch. I think we have a decent back line for this league but their confidence is shot and for that I blame one man only because it is the way he has set us up to play that has led to this.

This is it, this is the reason he has to go. The slip for the first goal yesterday was unfortunate but watch the build up to it. That ball should never have been in a position to go back to O'Connor, it was comfortable midfield possession but with no possible attacking outlet available due to Bowyers fixation with playing five defenders and two deep lying defenders who aren't actually defensive midfielders. Where on gods earth did he think a goal was going to come from? Every week its blindingly obvious why our midfielders like Reeves and Palmer (now departed, a blessing for the lad) and to a lesser extent Cooke end up passing back. Bowyer kills the team stone dead before its got on the pitch.
Our only outlets are two full backs being asked to play as wing backs and a winger with no end product at all. No wonder our strikers never look like scoring.
4 creative players on the bench, great stuff. Leaving Gibson till 3 minutes to go was the icing on the cake.

I personally think that the two players that have come in will bring us goals Guthrie looks a big unit Novak always scores against us and if it’s viv otombar coming in he ripped us apart for Blackpool am glad Doyle and Vaughan have gone Doyle never wanted to play for us and get the feeling Vaughan thought he is to big for this club it’s time to start to get behind the lads happiness in the camp brings promotion negativity doesn’t

The kick offs. We had a few to be fair, he was well into his rhythm by the end.

Yes he needs to go before he gets his hands on the new players and he Bowyers them. Look at our new winger yesterday, made a good fist of that shambles yesterday.

Agree. Football is simple, you defend from the front, and you attack from the back, ignoring one part at the expense of the other, and this shambles is what you get.
