Completely agree. If Isherwood fails it will absolutely be down to Ricc posting a negative thought about him on the forum.

 

I’m sure there were a number of fans who were hoping that with the change of ownership, there could be opportunities to bring in players from the Europe. So far the quality isn’t there, but maybe lessons have been learnt and we’ve raised the bar.

I don’t want us to stop looking (in a different pool) because the cost of buying players in England is distorted when comparing value for money.

I don't know, maybe some do. Why does it matter? It's not mumsnet on here. Negative opinions hardly warrant abuse and hysteria unless you're hypersensitive to alternative viewpoints.

 

I didnt see much negativity towards the younger players during the bad times, and if there was as an example Blackpool it was aimed at the whole 11 on the pitch, and IMO on the day justified.
But at Valley Parade the young kids we're given fantastic vocal support Robinson had it all season, Kai got more and more praise with each game and a standing ovation in his last game he got injured, the same with Gibson great vocal support.
In my time the Bradford City fans have always encourage young kids to try their skills out and if they don't come off the first time have another go.

 

Yep. Simply passing an opinion on what I deem as a footballing amateur is very bitter. You don't handle alternative viewpoints very well do you?

 

Were you around during the last two admins? If you were you would never accuse fans of deliberately wanting a Edin to fail; we were literally within in minutes of losing this club and being cast into oblivion, if it hadn’t been for the Prof that is exactly what the unpaid inland revenue would have done. I think it says more about your personality than anybody on here who has a different opinion to yours, they are not bitter or spiteful they are City stalwart fans who have differing views. Suggest you get used to it, that is what a forum is.

As for changing the agenda, there is a political part of this board when you can express your views, mind you not everybody will agree with your rosey coloured view of Mr Trump, I think @River_City_Bantam sums him up brilliantly.

 

Got my allotment early last year and love it. Made plenty of mistakes like having everything ripening at once, not thinning out and leaving courgettes too long to pick. As you say, hard work initially and in keeping the weeds down but, ultimately, very satisfying. I find the time goes quickly down there and I can completely forget about all the other sh*t going on

Think people need to get over themselves.. you don't have to be mega enthusiastic about every signing.. it's up to those players to prove people wrong and change their opinions.

 

The only thing I will say is approaching signings from a (and this isn't the right word) negative standpoint will only make it harder for someone t win you over as he could have an excellent game but make 1 mistake and it will be that one mistake that is highlighted and exaggerated. I agree with you we shouldn't be claiming we've signed the next Rory McArdle just yet. However we shouldn't deride where he has come from as plenty of non league players step up and take the opportunity.

 

You've missed the point spectacularly. Whether Reeves, Taylor or anyone lived up to their reputation isn't the point. The point is the hypocrisy involved when it comes to pre judging a signing. If the comments are positive- great. If the comments are negative "have you seen him to come to that conclusion" etc etc. It only seem's to work one way.

 

Best keep it to yourselves..

 

so in conclusion, it's okay to say a player we've never seen play is a good signing, or is an excellent prospect, or promising, but its not okay to say "meh" or "average" or "not sure about this, not rated by former clubs fans"

Don't see how you can call him a lower league nobody just because he cannot break into Bayern Munich's first team.
