No he isn’t, he is one of many angry and upset fans who wants to see this club being run well.

 

Christ mate several posters have tried to explain yesterday what the situation was and from that comment you obviously still don't get it.

It was the last game of the season, Grayson himself said he wanted to see as many players as possible given game time, we had nothing to play for, are you seriously suggesting if we had needed 3 points at Scunthorpe they would have got game time.

Staunton, and Hawke's got game time because the game meant nothing, we had nothing to play for except pride, and that was shot to pieces at places like Doncaster, Rotherham, dare I mention Blackpool.

 

The fact is there IS a consortium interested in buying - and heavily involved in it is a bloke unanimously popular with City fans - but people still want to pretend Dumb and Dumber are going to invest to take us forward and what have you, and want to wait and see who the manager is, then theyll want to wait and see who we bring in, then theyll want to wait and see how January goes, then we'll have to wait and see who the new manager is, and wait and see who we recruit, and so on and so forth for ever and ever.

I don't think Edin forcing the manager to field some of the kids in the development squad is a sign the "system is working well"

just a sign of an over bearing, out of touch with reality, delusional chairman.

 

Completely irrelevant the point I am making is the development Squad is a gateway to the first team all the coaches consult together and if one stands out such has Robinson then he is recommended to the manager. In my opinion there should be more invested now to improve scouting so we can identify the best possible players available and before you start jumping up and down saying this money should be spent on the first team I think it should be through extra investment from the owners or better still through sponsorships

 

All well and good talking about a consortium, but how about they show they're serious and table a bid, and come out in public so we can see who is involved. For all we know it could be the landlord from the Lord Clyde and owner of cosy cars. Show your self consortium and show us you're serious and maybe City fans will get behind you and be willing to make more of a stir, but I suspect it's all talk.

 

I wasn't Grayson biggest fan, I tend not to like anyone who comes to our club and says stuff like "you're lucky to have me I'm a Championship manager" or I know my football I have coaching badges to prove it" ,but without doubt no one could argue about his past record of getting teams promoted, he was the standout candidate (as I said to Edin at the forum) no axe to grind best man for the job without doubt.
He wasn't going to come here knowing what had gone on in the past, believe me managers do talk about owners of clubs ETC, but he came didn't get the immediate results we ALL wanted but obviously thought he could get what he needed to give the club a good chance of a play off place, unfortunately our owners were not of the same mind and they could not agree, we move on.
I'm hardly excited about some of the candidates mentioned but we need someone in pronto and get the club a bit of stability and hopefully for all concerned some quality new faces on the pitch.

 

Genuine hypothetical as I post this as someone who is far from happy with the current state of affairs. But what happens when this new consortium delivers a bad season? Do we then demand a change of ownership again?

 

No, but then the current bad feeling towards the present owners is far from just because of one bad season.

Regards development squad.

Last season McCall had Darby to choose from if McMahon was off form / injured. This season he was told to use the development squad. Jacob Hanson. Because Jacob was not only a development players but a reserve fullback.

Was Jacob ready, was he good enough are all open to debate. But it took our head of football nearly 4 weeks to decide.

Under Lawn, we had reserve players who were good enough to step in, Not some young kids on YTS wages.

This is not development, if they are not ready then it harms their development.
