Valley Parade is easily 5.29 better than Odsal so what's your point ? Their rent is only cheap because they sub let from the RFL who are subsidising them.

How about loading it with around £10m of debt owed to a holding company owned by the chairman and his mother? Also chairman suspended for kicking the assistant manager. Just a flavour.

Put that into a bit of perspective. I can find five PL Clubs that lease their ground and four sets of figures for rent

West Ham £2.5 million per year
Swansea nearest I can get is that it's in excess of £1million per year
    Bournemouth £300k per year
    Man City £4.43million per year
Newcastle - owned by the city council but no figures available

I accept The London Stadium & The Etihad are different gravy, but The Liberty only holds 21,000. For reference Huddersfield only own 40% of their ground and pay partial rent on it from what I can gather.

£370k per year isn't a millstone when you compare it to the debt that Everton will be in to build a new ground and the £4.4million a year they will have to pay Liverpool City Council for guaranteeing the debt.

If i wanted to read ill informed alcohol fuelled rants by outraged morons, i'd stick to FB or twitter.
Perhaps you missed it when Grayson said "I've got absolutely no problem with the owners" in his parting comments.
If anything his criticism was directed at the previous regime.

I think it more likely that Grayson was asking for too much too soon and his heart wasn't really invested in the long term 'project', preferring a ready made 'championship standard' club (Barnsley?). Hence the amicable parting of ways

He was asked to become our football manager not our asset manager, I've heard it all now no traing facilities or ground of our own.
I'll let you into a secret mate we aint going no where and they knew exactly what we owned and didnt own when they bought the club, because they told us exactly that.
After looking at other clubs we desided on Bradford City because of it's location, fan base etc, etc but we didn't realise when we'd purchased the club we didn't own Valley Parade or Rawdon Meadows.

I’m far from a moron my friend. I’m a passionate City fan who has had enough of our current owners destabilising tyrannical rule of the club. If you’re going to personally insult people I’d suggest you stick to Facebook and the like.

What if they get a really good coach in who improves the talent within our youth ranks and development squad and the model they envisage starts to work giving us a club which won't be in debt and is self maintaining?
    These things take time.
I totally understand the panic at the moment but as posters previously have stated, we have been far far worse off in recent years gone by.

Why would a new manager be involved in the development squad, Edin said our development coach was one of the best and highest paid outside the Premiership and he was doing a great job, later confirmed by the development manager which you would expect.
Apart from when the manager gets together with the development coach and possibly askes have we anyone you could recommend who would be ready for being in the first team squad I very much doubt the first team manager gets too involved, why would he we have a specialised coach in to over see the young development kids.

You don't seem to be getting a lot of support with this protest group. While folk are understandably frustrated, angry, fed up etc you are blowing everything out of proportion.

It was tongue in cheek mate, I'm sure two intelligent businessman who looked at purchasing several other clubs before us, after buying our club then telling us the very reasons they bought our club would have known exactly what they were buying............wouldn't they .

They always knew about the ground and the training ground. Ridiculous to suggest otherwise. Nobody should be having a go at previous owners. They did not have the resources to improve, and upgrade the infrastructure, it is simply as that. We can go all the way back to our first administrations for the root of the problem, resulting in Gibb’s Pension fund charging us rent every year. The previous training ground was appalling, so now we rent from the school. Lawn and Rhodes could have done the infrastructure, but we would not have had a team who would have had the capacity to get promoted or cup runs.

We need investment it’s as simple as that, this where affordable loans come in. Would buying the ground back be good business? At the moment the owners are trying to generate money by upgrading infrastructure that could generate more money. However we must have a competitive team. Nevertheless , if the owners want a return on their investment they must have promotion, there are no returns at this level. That is the conundrum that no doubt is flexing their mind. Of course they deserve criticism, they have made several mistakes.

I take issue at the conflation of our situation with that of Blackpool and Charlton in the original post. There have been a number of high profile car crashes in terms of club ownership of the last few years and there are significant and valid reasons for people to call in to question the suitability of the likes of Oyston, Duchatelet etc when it comes to owning football clubs. To suggest that we should be lumped in with Blackpool or Charlton shows either a complete lack of perspective or a real lack of understanding about the severity of the issues that are afflicting both those clubs (and others). I'm far from enamoured with the performance of Rahic and Rupp this season but we could have much much worse and it does both our owners and the supporters of clubs with truly negligent owners a huge disservice to try to equate our situation with that of Charlton or Blackpool.

'The Edi' as he calls himself left Kickers after his investment did not allow him control of team affairs. Hans Kullen the club president would not allow someone to buy their way into being a head coach. At Bradford City "the Edi" has done this. Bought himself a football title. A title that does allow the decisions to be made. I just hope he he was not over in Germany lately sounding out Paco Vaz as his new puppet for VP.
