Agree, spoke to him at a non football event when he was still at City. He is not just pro City he is pro The City of Bradford and really appreciates his roots.

Does anyone know if any of these consortiums have actually approached the current owners?

You said enough to prove I’m right.

You can post what you like, don’t give a fek, but if you don’t or rather CANT offer alternatives you are clueless. FACT!

I see I am wasting my valuable time....

Well, you've just saved me having to write all that out myself, so close is it to my own position.:D

I would add that early warning signs were there last January, in that the clear-out of Parky-era players began. (I wonder what a Hanson-Wyke combination would have been like?) But the season overall went so well, and there still were enough veterans around in the overall squad, that one cannot complain too much. This season though has seen the R&R model coming much more into play, and so far it has been found wanting. So we have had one successful season, and one trainwreck; we do need to see if lessons have been learnt, or if that was just another empty saying.

I read a post from Ricc somewhere (this forum?) wondering where one draws the line, at what point does one stop giving the owners a chance. I agree that it is not yet time for the pitchforks, but for me at any rate, that line is very, very close.

There is merit in your post which I concur with, the bottom line is pretty simple

It’s their business and they can run it as they like until someone stumps up say £4-6m.

Our alternative is also pretty simple, vote with our feet?

As long as supporters are FULLY aware of the eventual consequences of such which occurred initially in the 70’s and in later seasons.

We may not like it, we may not like the last 5months, but I’m too old to be popping along to George’s Hall (?) popping my hard earned money into a plastic bucket (Yes I was there) to “save MY football club”

We are where we are and we may not like it, but as we stand, if the owners fail to invest and see the club grow, it’s much more of the same cyclically as occurred during the last 50 years.

Misguided is perhaps a kind, but not an inaccurate way of putting it. Some of the statements that have so spectacularly blown up in their faces could come under this heading as well -- over-exuberance rather than deception.

There are clubs where active protests have been merited -- Blackpool, obviously, and Hereford Utd to name but two -- but we are not, and hopefully will not ever be, owned by convicted rapists, enthusiastic asset-strippers, devious property developers looking to get their hands on the land the ground sits on, or any of the other unsuitable types who have seriously damaged or even ruined football clubs throughout this land. Continued incompetence would, I'd say, eventually be sufficient grounds for active protests, but we are not there yet. I hope that lessons have been learnt, and that we will see over the coming months that that is the case.

I would hate for us to go down the Blackpool / Hereford Utd path, where not only relationships within the club and between club and supporters are fractured, but relationships between supporters too. Because that will happen. If this thread has been rather too personal and rude at times, well, just wait until one group starts demonstrating / boycotting matches / arguing their case on fora such as this etc., and another group with an opposing opinion continues going to matches / arguing their case on fora such as this, and so on.

They don't need to change anything now nearly 14000 or there abouts of ST's have been bought. Those that have bought them have now shown their support for the Chairmen, so only those that have refused to buy one should be the only ones that have a right to moan about our Club which is getting destroyed.

We could help hasten the club's demise by boycotting and not buy tickets etc.
Alternatively we could support our club and accept that the only real control we have is wether we purchase or not.
I know which side I'm sat on and after 30+ years following City I aren't changing.
