    Journalists investigating this story also found out that if you phone the employers phone number listed in his passport application form then someone answers it with the phrase "Good afternoon, Leeds United Football Club, how may I help you?"

    TBF I saw through it immediately. I was impressed by @Interested Bystander@Interested Bystander ‘s creative approach, which generated a wry smile with his witty approach on the subject. I enjoyed it. I was a little surprised that some seemed to think it was a genuine article.

    I agree. If you know some German, the newspaper's name gives the game away before you even get to the point. But it was indeed good for a laugh, and with the way this season has been going, we need all the laughs we can get!

    There's quite a meta element to this story when you consider how integral Wikipedia is to the average fan desperately trying to appear knowledgeable about a particular player/manager/club that is being discussed on a football forum.
