Anyone been down to the ground and seen how it's getting on? The updates from the club were quite interesting, but haven't seen any recently. Just wondering, as the last time I heard from the groundsman, he said there were a few concerns.

It's been hot in the UK also right? Wonder how that has slowed down/helped with the grass growing.

Any info greatly appreciated. I know it's a bit anorak, but i was so gutted when our games were called off last season - I have a nice Saturday routine which revolves around 5pm watching on iFollow, and I don't want anymore cancellations due to a dodgy pitch! Hope it's been money well spent.
    Cheers!

If it’s anything like my garden that got reseeded 3 weeks ago then it’ll probably look like straw:(

What temperatures have you been getting in Yorkshire?

So long as the grass is getting lots of water then the sunlight will be really good for it..

If I can grow nice green grass in Adelaide in summer at 35-45°C then surely the grass will be fine on the pitch @ Valley Parade...

Jealous of you living in Adelaide mate. Spent a couple of months there back in the early 80's, absolutely loved it. Stayed in the Kensington Gardens area

Likewise IB. Spent a couple of months in the late nineties in Seaview Downs just next door. Had a wonderful afternoon watching cricket at the Kensington Oval watching Michael Bevan playing 1st grade cricket in his prime :)
Wonderful city hope to return one day

What... No rain for over a month in Norfolk and the only thing growing are weeds. My lawn is pretty much shagged for the year.......Primarily because we are on a water meter and all 4 water butts are empty!

On the videos it was the Kop/Midland corner/side that was looking a but patchy 3/4 weeks ago.

Same in Bradford. The paths at the allotment are a crisp brown. Yorkshire Water have no intentions of imposing a hosepipe ban, so City can water as often as they like. The pitch should be fantastic by the start of the season.

Bloody Hell Rio's, hope you had your shots...

Adelaide is awesome, best climate, the beach, wineries, festivals, sport and its a bit like a big country town. Not too busy but a nice slow pace...

    :)

I note no comment so assume you're not hinting that is a current photo, not even last season?
