I think we need to be slightly careful here. Some of this squad, particularly those signed in the summer, simply aren't good enough. But I think they care, and I think they're trying. The confidence in the squad must be rock bottom, and we don't want to create a toxic relationship between fans and players. However pissed off we are, it won't help and more importantly it would be misguided. The sole focus of our ire needs to be Rupp and Sparks.

 

What good will lobbing tennis balls at them do ? Will it make them better players ? What message will it send our new manager.

It's childish.

 

I arrived at work about an hour ago and threw a tennis ball on the floor.

It's just been announced that our business has been sold and the new owner is on the way.

 

It is not waiting and doing nothing. We are all concerned, but we just have to support the team for a few weeks to give our new manager some time. If we start protesting it will disrupt the team regardless of where the blame lies. I just don’t see how this will get us a change of owner that would benefit our club.

 

That is never going to happen and certainly not at such short notice, I'm as p1ssed off as the next City fan but lets give Alexander a chance to turn it around.

 

I really hope this doesn’t happen.

 

It will alienate the players rather than motivate them
It will send the wrong message to the new manager
It could get you arrested or banned
It's purile, childish nonsense

 

Every now and again I see a post and think, "some people just shouldn't be allowed internet access".

 

Can I suggest that protests and demands for improvement which i support in principle, are kept separate from the playing arena. Could we organise an open letter / petition with Sparkes and Rupp demanding a clear statement on the future and direction of the club? If that has no effect then we could move on to a boycott. The advantage of this approach is that players and coaching staff would know that the anger is not directed at them. If of course you want to intimidate, dishearten and undermine the efforts of players etc go ahead. Don't be surprised if you make things worse

 

I'm concerned with the footballing side of things, going back to the playoffs where Hughes blew it.

The summer recruitment had a scattergun approach when we only needed 3 or 4 quality additions and I had never least looked forward to a new season kicking off as this August.

Once again a manager was handed a decent budget and along with the head of recruitment completely messed up.

Having said all this, I am not at a stage where we should be having mass walkouts during games or the very childish throwing of tennis balls.

 

So are you suggesting the so called happy clappers don't care about their club unless they going along with this hairbrained idea of throwing missiles onto the pitch whilst the game is on be they tennis balls or soft toys.
You do what you think is right and leave other fans to make their own choice of what they feel is right, nowt like dividing Bradford City fans with the above comments, happy clappers, toxic fans, real fans.
I've personally met many fellow posters from this and previous forums over the years and downed a few beers with them, you know what the likes of your above characterisations never gets brought up because we're usually busy talking about how we expect the game to go because were all Bradford City fans.

As mega pissed off as I am with this team and the club in general, there’s no way I’m making the effort to go to the game just to walk out again a few minutes into it. Only if we’re 5 nil down will I do that

 

Don't you just love that sort of comment "We are delighted to announce that we will be going ahead with tennis balls, thanks to all those who voted and shared their opinions" what a set of idiots they'll make themselves look when 30/40 school kids launch tennis ball from the top section of the NW stand or back row in the Kop many not making the pitch, do they believe these few speak for all Bradford City fans.
