Some going is that to relegate two sides all on his own.

 

I think we'll see what he's made of this season now he's got someone pushing him for his place. If he fails, from the limited amount I've seen of Hornby we've a more than adequate replacement.

 

Hornby appears to be a lot better than your typical number 2 in the mould of Ben Wilson. I reckon it'll be a straight shoot out between the 2 and it wouldn't surprise me to see Bowyer go with his own man.

 

Will be a v interesting battle for the shirt over the season, my moneys on Hornby long term.

 

Shows what happens when you have a goalkeeper being a goalkeeper rather than a goalkeeper player/coach also having an organised defense with confidence in front.

 

Goalie coach for majority of pre season and some genuine competition. He has started very well. Long may it continue

I know they're not the team they once were but I'm surprised a Man U goalie would have enough shots to stop to head that particular stats list.

 

Not enough shots? They were horrendous last season. Teams were taking shots for fun at times.

 

No not really. Just a bit surprised out of 92 clubs he had to save the most shots. The more I think about it the more I think it can't be right. Unless all the relegated clubs continually changed their keepers - maybe that's it.

 

To be fair Stuart promoted him to the first team because of his performances pre season he was singing his praises. And he looked like a world beater at first.

 

As @bantam2708 says no Wyke that day so Omari stepped up but it still doesn't excuse the fact the Mr I know football gave him a 3 year deal on the back of that goal.

Did Omari Patrick have a good half a season first though? Has Vaughan proven in his career that he’s the better player?

Comparing two players with equal records is harder to judge than 2 with contrasting records. I’ve not said you are wrong to suggest we shouldn’t replace O’Donnell. I’ve said you’re delusional if you think we can get a better, PROVEN, keeper to come play in L2. You’ve still not been able to provide one name that is proven to be better than what we have

You can’t be serious. Conrad Logan is a proven goalkeeper that’s playing in League 2. He’s better than O’Donnell.
