Chairman Stefan Rupp has provided an update to supporters, following a recent offer to purchase Bradford City AFC.

Mr Rupp said: “On Thursday I received an offer from the WAGMI United group to purchase the football club. This has been rejected.

“A great deal has been aired publicly since the offer was made. This, as well as a number of factors which will remain private, has led me to this decision.

“As a proud custodian of this wonderful football club, my first and most important responsibility is to protect it and safeguard its long-term future, while upholding our values.

“I, and certainly no one else connected to this football club, is actively trying to promote its sale, and my commitment has not changed.

“The matter is closed, and our attention returns to what is truly important, as we build towards a strong second half of the season and aim to achieve our goals.

“I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone associated with Bradford City AFC a very Merry Christmas, as we look forward to 2022.”

Glad this is done and dusted

 

Well the pressure has just cranked up on Rupp, and the club. A January without ambition, and a continuation of this form, and notions of our 'stability' will be throughly tested.

 

The statement includes the words
“ and my commitment hasn’t changed” so don’t hold your breath mate.

Here's another one, what is the benefit to Bradford City in WAGMI using Bradford City revenues to invest in other football clubs?

 

Seems like some are pleased. Which is quite depressing in itself.

 

Welp looks like "business as usual". Unless he gives Adams the backing to revamp the squad we're fecked, can't see this downward trend abating with his unchanged commitment - if it can be called that.

Maybe this episode will encourage Rupp to invest more time and money but let’s get one thing right, unless you are incredibly wealthy or emotionally attached, everything is for sale if the price is right.

Watch WAGMI buy someone else, and they'll fly, and STILL the same people will believe we're better off out of it.

 

It shows commitment he didn’t take the money and run for something not in the interest of the club

 

His judgement of whats best for the club has been shown to be completely misguided from the moment he arrived.

 

Commitment to what? Year on year regression and spending as little money as possible? Because that's all we're getting under his stewardship.

 

Like he gives a toss what's best for the club, his disinterest has crippled us and locked us into a slow but steady decline that won't magically end in January
