Hysterical? Currently sitting 12th in an appallingly bad league 2 below the likes of Harrogate, Sutton and Hartlepool and with 5 wins all season. Out of the cups at the first hurdle. Ah well, at least the grass is nice and green.

Complete nonsense. The lot of it.
Do football fans become fans because the non football revenues are up? Because we now have a sponsor with seabrooks crisps and are making an extra 50k a year?

No we become fans for sides like Paul Jewell’s and Parkys and all those players we loved. All those games at Chelsea and villa away and Wolves away and the like.
No one goes the pub after with their mates and says “oh we were crap but we’ve got some new seats in the sunwin provided by directseats.com, free of charge, did you know that?”
it doesn’t happen. Sort it out on the pitch or clear off should be the message. No more bullshit about we are financially stable currently. At what cost? Almost non league standard football. No one cares and we will see it in season ticket sales before long and then the club is in trouble. If you or Rupp or sparks cannot see that then we are in a sorry state. The non football’s revenues will soon dwindle and if we go into the non-league, good bye free clean seats because there will be no one to sit in them!

also as for Rupp if he’s so passionate about the club and worried about travelling, base yourself over here to avoid these travel restrictions. But he won’t do that because it’s ticking over nicely for him via zoom calls with Ryan every week

Completely had enough with all this “oh but revenues are up”. So what?

I know you enjoy pulling the legs of other posters on here and many fall for it but on a serious point why would Rupp sell the club for less than his asking price? He owns a club which is breaking even and not costing him a euro. I suspect that his German holding company continues to receive the 25k euro monthly 'management' fee it has done since he bought the club. It's not a great investment but it's washing its face currently.

It could of course all change if we don't get promoted or more importantly cannot continue selling 13-14,000 season tickets every year. That might well become the defining moment for him.

Hysteria would be akin to fans having a general cause for something - calling for the manager's head, calling out the players, sack the board etc.

I don't see or hear too much of that. It's beyond that now and much worse - apathy and acquiesce.

Because he’s a joke of an owner. Simple really. Does nothing for the club or the city.

So what you are telling us he couldn’t make one game because of Covid restrictions. Do us a favour!

Funny I travelled to Berlin the other week.

When you next speak to Ryan, can you ask him a question on behalf of the rest if us? He said prior to the start of the season that not achieving promotion this season will be regarded as failure. We are currently on target to become a failing team once again. What is his plan to deal with that when fans vote with their feet and significantly fewer season tickets are sold for next season?

    Thanks

Very exciting news that we have more than one group interested in buying the club.

Finally gives us the chance to have a full discussion on how we should be pluralising consortium.

Heralding from Wyke, I'd always go for Consortia, a consequence of the relentless classics focussed learning at the esteemed Wyke Manor learning establishment.

    Consortium's is probably also ok.

Good point re consortia. But consortium's is definitely not OK unless it is being used to indicate either ownership or as an abbreviated form of 'consortium is'. It is certainly not a pluralised form of consortium. It would be up there for very different reasons with calling the club manager Derek Adam's

    ;)

    Because he just should.

It's exciting that there are two genuine, serious bidders for the club full of multi-millionaires who will happily pump all their personal funds into the club, when it isn't even formally up for sale.

Imagine if Stefan got off his backside, got in touch with Robert Watts, and got a big for sale sign up on the Midland Road stand? We'd have thousands of such groups.

    But he won't.

Mark Lawn was reluctant to sell so should imagine he would be happy to join others to buy the club ( as long as he can be chairman )

@wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler your tone seems to be different to that of fans across this board and beyond. Using words like hysteria within this thread. Not all of course.

I don't know if I am comforted as you have business acumen and are close to the dealings of the club or you are little out of touch, with the feeling of the support base.

As a supporter (not a director or whatever your said position) can you understand the 'hysteria' of some of our supporters?

How many years of "Jam Tomorrow statements " do the club think we will keep on swallowing?

Stelling - we're off to Valley Parade where a club has missed out on the play offs but who is it Chris Kamara

Kammy looking over his shoulder confused - I don't know Jeff has there I must have missed that ... missed out on the play offs?

    Laughter

Stelling - Have you not been watching I haven't err I don't know where that's come from Chris I have no idea what has happened what's happened Chris?

Kammy - I don't know Jeff the rain must have got in me eyes Jeff

Stelling - Chris Chris according to our sources Bradford have missed out on the play offs without enough wins get out your fingers and count up the numbers of points

Kammy - No you're right I saw the league table but I thought they're financially stable and that's worth another ten points

    Louder Laughter

Stelling - As professional as ever Kammy

Hysteria? I think there's far too much self-congratulation and complacency from many at the club, who seem to judge its success and 'stability on the basis of its P&L and not by its performance on the pitch. Continue to churn out a crap product, and it won't remain 'stable' for long.

Stable is another word for static.

Imagine the queue on Midland Road of the potential buyers. It might well rival the queue for Chelsea tickets

I’m not aware of ANY interest let alone 2 parties vying. That word suggests the club is up for sale and 2 parties are bidding against each other. For that to be right the current ownership would have to be a willing seller OR if the club were a public company control could be gained by an offer to buy shares. As far as I know the current ownership is not interested in selling and there are no shares to buy, thus once again threads on this subject are speculation and no more in my view.
