It’s getting a whole lot worse for him if we don’t get promoted. There’s no way Sparks will shift 14k season tickets for another season of league two football in the style Del Boy has brought to VP.

 

Do we know what percentage of our income comes from ticket sales? Would it cripple us if he only managed to get 10k?

The daft thing about all this is had the powers that be decided to show a modicum of ambition in what is a terrible standard of a division we wouldn't be talking about January transfer windows or Dereks alleged poor style of football. A couple of quality signings in the goal departments and we'd have been in the top three off the back of the glut of chances created. Instead, Sparks remit from his gaffer was all out sustainability, get those books balanced at all costs. And with those cost come a caveat. That being signing players no one else really wanted, signings from clubs that finished below us last season. Should any of us really be surprised that the cries of promotion and not accepting mediocrity come a poor second to striving for that sustainability. I accept revenue is up after the increase in ST prices but by common demand that was coming. I think everyone expected we would be in a better position on the pitch but we’re not even half way yet and clubs have regularly come with a run e.g Parky and others at least in my time.
If I may say there is too much hysteria around currently and it involves many on here who should know better. As to Stefan’s so called absence have those who complain tried travelling with ease over the last two years? The guy has a house/apartment here when he can, likes it here, is in touch with Ryan all the time and why sell when the Club is stable.

Rupp needs to cut his losses and just sell or he makes U turn and invests or else this football club will die slowly and painfully.
