I think this is a key point. There are understandable doubts about T&S but the best candidate we could muster a few months ago has just fallen out of the league.

I get that there are different managers available now but, even though there are doubts over T&S, are we better sticking with them in a hunt for some stability or do we gamble and jump on the merry-go-round yet again? Tough call.

I think it’s time to add a poll in and see what people think.
Personally not confident in them-they’ve shown that their paralysed by their own fear of losing. No plan B, no willingness to experiment. Misguided loyalty to certain players-Evan, ROD. The later coming back coinciding with when the form really dropped off

We have a fair amount of dross, but that's a drop in the ocean compared to the dross that Hurst has to work with at Grimsby and yet they gave us a game a couple of weeks ago. Impossible to say, but given the number of points they (and likely Southend) are going down with, then Hurst would have kept us up.

I'm afraid if these two stay on we will be in the relegation mix again next Christmas and have wasted a year. I appreciate what they did for us, but their lack of experience and nous is really showing now. We need a manager with the ability to change things, rather than ones who are as stuck in their plan as Stuart was.

    It's Wellens for me.

It did. Parkinson rocked up and the rest is history.

Managers are sacked too easily, both in wider football and at City. I'm not a believer in short term thinking and knee jerk reactions.

Given where we were when they took over, they have earned the right to another transfer window which they can have more say in, and a chance at hopefully a more normal season next time round.

Keeping us up this season gets them a go at next. That's when we find out properly if they have what it takes or not.

I don't think season ticket sales for next year will be massively impacted by current performance. The main influence on that will be where the country is re coronavirus. If we are actually allowed to attend matches again next season then season ticket sales may well be up just by people jumping on the chance to socialise more normally.

Personally its a big influence for me and my decision to buy a season ticket. With the games left and nothing to play for I was hoping to see something different on the pitch last night and not the same crap served up for the past 7 or so games. How wrong was I same old shit 1 up front, nevegative tactics, useless substitutions, playing for a point the list goes on. If thats what we can expect then ill put off buying a season ticket for the first time in over 20 years. Its meant to be entertaining and frankly its utter trash lately.

I'd love to agree, but the product is king and what we have on offer is rancid. I think covid virus will have a minimal affect on season ticket sales and what we've witnessed in the last 14 matches of the season a massive one.

Parkinson is probably the only manager we might realistically have a chance at who I would be happy to see us make a change for, given his past history with the club.

Yes I agree. People defending them were so quick to bring the table since they came in up constantly until the last couple of weeks. Well bring up a table of the last 15 games, a third a season that gives you a good indication of the direction we are heading and it isn’t pretty. Add to that this is the worst football I’ve seen in years it’s now below the dross Bowyer would serve up.

My mate and I have decided if these two are still in charge to give it a miss next season, if they turn it around and play in a more entertaining fashion and not try scrape draws at home against average 4th division sides then we’ll both pay the £20/25 per game. The cost of a season ticket doesn’t bother me I’ll happily pay more next season if the entertainment value is there, but if Covid has taught me anything it’s life’s to short to do something just out of habit you aren’t enjoying.

On the plus side, they did turn around a sinking ship and made changes that the vast amount of supporters were calling for. However this does not necessarily make them good managers, more just highlighting just how poor Stuart was at league two level.

I personally want to see some long term stability within the club with a clear plan, but that plan has to show that it is working.

For me, even though there is nothing to play for in the next 2 games in terms of league position I think we need to see a massive improvement in performance providing some evidence that they are the duo to start next season.

Theres no way fans will put up with T & S style of play when allowed back in the ground , they will turn them into a shivering mess in no time

So far they have had it easy , when 10,000 fans are on your back it will be hellish for them

Why do you need to wait two games? You been asleep during games since they took over?

When we were safe they still continued to play boring football. Like for like subs. Seem to have no idea how to change things.

Sparks needs to get rid no matter what happens in the next 2 games.

Ryan doesn't give the impression of someone who messes about. I would imagine he's already holding discussions with representatives of potential replacements. He'll know, more than us, that, what's being served up, isn't acceptable and won't sell season tickets.
