Sorry but I've not seen anything yet to suggest he's got decent distribution. All he does is punt it upfield and certainly not picking out someone with a pass.

That's not a criticism, I've only ever seen Pickford with the ability to do that but to suggest it's an attribute that proves he's a better pick than ROD is, imo completely untrue.

 

I agree with everything you said in your posts about Bass. The whole of the defence was responsible for the mistake on Saturday. I really like the look of Bass, who knows what will happen next season’s recruitment. However, I would also point out the pressure our defence is under most games makes it inevitable that mistakes will happen. They kept going for the full 90 but you could see them tiring. Now that is a fitness issue, in my view that is why we lost on Saturday. At the beginning of the game high energy levels kept Swindon on their toes, this will get better I have every confidence in the management team to sort it out as best they can this late on the season.
Early prediction, I think we might give Forest Green a game and take all three points next week, there is optimism for you

 

Don't forget the classic line from last season that Hornby instilled more confidence in the defence and was better at organising players.

That McKirdy looks a great striker of the ball and can shoot from range so I think he will bag one. Hopefully we can score this time round as we should have against Mansfield

Not sure if “getting to the ball” counts any more, it’s the “ intent”. There was a Prem pen given a few weeks ago that was careering towards the dead ball line ( probably 1/2 m to go and at pace) , the forward was brought down three meters further away with zero chance of getting it, yet when brought down the ref gave a pen. I wish I could remember who it was but the discussion after was based on
“ intent” . Let’s see what transpires.?

He made 1 start for us this season, and it was in the stupid cup against Manchester United kids.

We got pumped 3-0.

His cameos don't tell me he did better than Vernam, and actually I don't think he's a better player than Vernam - who is one of the worst finishers in the recent history of Bradford City football club.

In 27 appearances for us, including 12 starts, Ollie scored 1 goal.

Vernam, by comparison, is a lower end League Two standard player who would do even better in the National Premier League, and has scored 6 since joining the club.

They joined at the same time.

To be honest, case closed. Vernam > Crankshaw.

 

Obviously I hope I'm wrong, but cannot see anything other than another home defeat tomorrow.

Excellent first half. How it’s 1-1 I have no idea. They could have 2 with a bit of luck we could have had 4. Midfield extremely fluid and Lavery has taken the pressure off Cook.

The downside. Paudie continues to show he’s an absolute liability. His attempted cross field, simple ball to Songo was pretty pathetic. Rash challenge on the nasty Twit up front means another booking. Our central defence , makes me cringe when they are near the ball.

Evans and Gilly also played well.
