Should hang his head for his tactics, and then again for the absolutely shocking recruitment that he took charge of. Imagine what Hughes could've done this season in a shocking division. Swindon were 8th, weren't good but they have talent in McKirdy who they only need to give one chance. We need 10.

Hughes has me optimistic for next season if he gets the right backing.

Thought Foulds struggled again today, he’s not comfortable on the left of a 3, but you could see Hughes giving him encouragement and trying to build his confidence at half time, don’t think we’d have seen the same from Adams

The ironic thing is it came straight from a brilliant save which I thought was match saving

Best I've seen us play all season, Lavery and Evans were particularly impressive to a point. Light years ahead of anything under Adams post August, it makes a difference when players are encouraged and supported by their manager rather than harangued or ignored.

Some recurring issues that may not be fixable, running out of steam after an hour or so, Watt, Foulds and O'Connor were liabilities and Andy Cook's physical condition does not befit a professional footballer.

If we played like we did today (in terms of attacking style) with a bit of talent on the books then fans would be throwing money at season tickets

Get a proper recruitment team in ASAP and have targets outlined for the summer and we could really do something next season

Interesting point, I was chatting with a match assessor about this last week and we discussed the psychology of refs wanting to show they were not phased by the size of the stadium and not intimidated by the crowd. As he said you are not getting 'the cream ' anyway at our level.
And if I was an opposing manager now I would get in the ear of the referee pre match and say something along the lines of 'be great if you could show you are not influenced by them having a big name manager ref', at our level MH needs to work out a strategy to counter this and keep the refs onside because I'll guarantee it happens

I think we'll all breathe a little easier when we have a couple more wins to ensure we're doing all this planning still in the lofty heights of league 2! ;)

And their no.20 looked like a poor man’s Pukki. Was still class though to be fair

Agree BL, stupid from Bass. All he had to do was stay on the lads toes, no tackle just usher him away. Instead he dives in and costs us.
No excuses for that and unfortunately it'll cost him his place next week.

Was an entertaining game today, chaps.

Either team could have won it, neither deserved to lose, but I'm not going to complain about the result.

Lot's of attacking intent from you guys and you could have been 3-0 in 15 minutes. You need a few 'tweaks' at the back, though.

It's not often I agree with you, but this is spot on. He certainly was better than most of the anonymous performances we saw under Dull Derek. But for all his work rate he created next to nothing.

Pickford still DOES. One minute a sublime keeper, next minute he’s a liability.

Have Swindon got a bit of money to attract the likes of Williams? He was at Cardiff last season, and I should imagine was on a lot more money than league two clubs pay. Either the fella has taken a big drop in salary (fair play to him) or Swindon have pulled their wallet out. I thought he was excellent yesterday. All over the final third of the pitch, and using his experience to dictate play. Exactly the sort of player I wish we had.

Are you sure you were in the JCT 600 Family Stand? That is actually the main stand. It sounds to me as if you were in the North West Corner, which used to be the family stand but was this season designated as the singing section, where some of our rowdiest supporters congregate. I would be surprised if that happened in the main stand. I have sat in there in the past with no issues.
Your best bet if you want a quiet life on future visits is to buy a ticket in what is officially called the East stand, but which everyone knows as the Midland Road. All very friendly in there. That's where I have sat for the last 26 years. Good views and more leg room too.
To be fair, Watt, our number 18 had his best game for a while! I thought he improved as the match went on. Gareth Evans is number 17 and it was good to see him have a good game after being frozen out by Derek Adams. I thought Gilliead (11) and Callum Cooke (8) played well too. Hoping some of our better players will be back from injury soon, but sadly not much can be done about the defence until the summer.

Ah yes, I get it now. But no, I'd never heard of it and I'm rather old.

Can anyone honestly identify a current Bradford City player who anyone else would pay an actual transfer fee for? No? I'm stumped to. That's where we're at with our current squad.

He is, he's no Ederson but his distribution is far better than ROD. His was atrocious.
