The bottom of L2 is not.

There's a legitimate difference.

 

That's the concern.

We've not seen them play that well all season, and yet they still only NEARLY hung on for a draw.

We were playing crap football under Adams and drawing most weeks.

We just have to hope that we haven't let Adams weaken us SO MUCH that Hughes struggles for points for the rest of the season - but honestly... I think we are weak enough to struggle, even after today's performance.

We definitely miss the Ridehalgh and Vernam combo. They seemed to play well together and at times were our biggest threats!

 

Wouldn't trust any of our strikers to score against that opposition, besides Cook

Agree with this assessment. Just soo frustrating that we can see the ability in the ball players we have in the team yet the tactics and system played by AdamSzzzz has effectively held us back. Whilst Adams didn’t kick a ball it seems obvious that give the players a plan and some direction and they are much better than they have shown season to date. Mildly optimistic of a decent finish to the season and of taking some momentum into next year. I’m not concerned about the teams below based on the football we played today. If that’s a starting point we should be hopeful that better times are to come.

 

On current form we are but after today and that level of performance we will be fine ............. we still have 8 teams below us not all of them will start winning for fun ........... put it this way they would love to be our posistion just goes to show how bad this league is if they are one of the better sides I mean FGR and Sutton sat in the top 3 !!!!!!! Mr dour should hang his head in shame for not be at least in the top 7

 

Should hang his head for his tactics, and then again for the absolutely shocking recruitment that he took charge of. Imagine what Hughes could've done this season in a shocking division. Swindon were 8th, weren't good but they have talent in McKirdy who they only need to give one chance. We need 10.

Hughes has me optimistic for next season if he gets the right backing.

I'll add Gilliead to your above, unfortunately once again we weren't clinical enough, we should have been 2 - 0 up before Swindon scored.

 

Thought Foulds struggled again today, he’s not comfortable on the left of a 3, but you could see Hughes giving him encouragement and trying to build his confidence at half time, don’t think we’d have seen the same from Adams

 

He was the left back again in a four today.

 

So was I but the organisers parents caught the same bus as me after the match, and we went down memory lane talking about City players from the 50's

 

Teams know they will get chances against us.
With their pressure towards the end and the score still 1-1 any mistake means you end up with nowt.

Very encouraging performance but if you don’t take your chances like you say it ends up biting you on the arse when the inevitable mistake happens.

 

Good game played well just a blxxdy shame about last minute goal again

 

Mark talks a lot of sence, descent around performance but came away with nothing.

 

Was a good entertaining performance today and we did not deserve to lose, We played good football but it will take time to settle players after the Adams rubbish, Plenty of hope even with a defence hardly worth the name. Am sure we will get better and the points will come, Was good to see the crowd applaud the team at the end
