Absolutely no idea. Just floating it out there. I feel certain Power’s days are numbered with us.

 

If he couldn't afford to buy Swindon without a loan off someone how will he manage to get together cash to buy us?

 

Have Swindon been to court yet with regards it's ownership ?.

 

He got an offer of £7.5m recently. Which sparked the court case.

No. It’s a civil matter. The judge has given them 12 months to sort it out between them.

 

So he reckons, but the paperwork wasn't signed. Plus if he only owns 35% it doesn't leave him much

 

I agree. He twists and turns like a twisty turny thing

 

I feel for you as fans. You thought all was good, looking at building a new ground etc and then the rug is pulled out

 

I don’t think there’s a huge problem there, tbh. The fella who put £1.1m in and Power ‘forgot’ to transfer his share is willing to take over - plus the Yanks offers is hanging about. The Supporters Trust is funding the ground purchase along with any owner.

The purchase of these things is always third party funded so it’s not as if he’d fork out the money from his own pocket. Still a bleedin’ chancer.

 

But if he only owns 35% he still will not have much especially if the £2m is still owed

 

Who’s to know what he’s squirrelled away in his time with us. £1m+ from Matt Ritchie’s sell on for starters. We’ve probably sold players for somewhere between £5-10m since he’s been owner. He’s bought a golf course out of it. It’s what these people do - get some other mug to fund something.

 

Seems to be a lot of money going on Wellens to leave Swindon to join Bolton...Down from 20/1 to 6/1.
Bookies are just reactive in markets like this but I wouldn't be shocked if Wellens leaves.

 

I’d take Power over Rupp.

 

Just signed a new 3 year deal. He may go sometime but not to a basket case like Bolton. They couldn’t even pay the compo.

A man who has taken next to no interest in 3 years and taken the club down around 20 places in the football league all with bigger budgets year on year. Yeah can see why
