Of course we don't even know if the players would agree to join but it would be positive to think we'd tried to put deals together.bantamdave41, vladimir, WilsdenBantam and 1 other person like this. -

After missing Sutton United away last season, yesterday's visit enabled me to get back to having seen Bradford City play on the grounds of all of the current 92 Premier and EFL clubs.
I thought Sutton United and Gander Green Lane was a much more positive way to get back to the '92', compared to the first time, which was at Yeovil Town's rather bleak Huish Park ground.
And whilst Gander Green Lane resembles many 'recently non-league' grounds, great efforts have been made to upgrade the facilities, particularly those in the away end, which were excellent. Add to that the welcoming approach taken by the stewards, the warm weather and the result, and it made for a great day out.
Given the after effects of playing with 10 men on Tuesday, plus the suspension / injury impact from that game, it was probably not that surprising that we started slowly but, even in those first 35 minutes, we defended resolutely and were rarely troubled. I've seen one or two reports that suggest we were lucky not to be a goal down, at that stage but, during those first 35 minutes, where were Sutton United's clear cut chances? Then up popped Andy Cook.
After that, City always looked the most likely to get the three points, and when Scott Banks scored it was pretty much game over. My position behind the goal was more or less in line with where Scott let fly from; I have no doubt it was a shot (*** waits for Scott Banks to say it was a cross ***), although, initially, I thought its trajectory was going to take it over the bar.
So, another very good away performance, we now need to up our game at home.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...CRASS, Jayteebee, WilsdenBantam and 1 other person like this. -
I think you'll find the atmosphere at VP is often disappointing because you have the K-block and NW Corner keep singing against each other. The people in the west side of the Kop (between the two) often just hear a confusing mess that's hard to join in with, and I suspect it's the same for other parts of the ground at times. I'm surprised anyone thought it was a good idea to take the drummer away from the main body of singing fans. The club need to get the drummer back into the upper Kop.

I’ll be there. Driving down on the day.
We look at train options for almost every away game and I haven’t yet seen any occasion where the rail fare for 4 of us is cheaper than the fuel to drive there.
Pathetic public service really and no wonder people will never ditch their cars in this country.CRASS, nicknameless and bantamlad92 like this. -
