I’m hoping to get a seat next season or the one after for my lad, but am not holding out much hope

 

There’s 5 of us with 1 seat in between all of us . Not sure why the club Carnt budge everyone up at end of a season to make space for pairs etc

 

That's why we have our seats at the end of the isle, easy access, the only down side is when fans come back after half time 5 minutes late we're always on our feet, but great view.

 

there are 5 of us but the last one is one space down with a random bloke sat between us. Attempted to get the club to switch the seats but ‘wasn’t possible’. Not that it has caused an issue

 

Just saying... the lower tier of the main stand was built after the fire and to the safety in sports ground guide at the time. The Bradford End stand was built to the same guide. A decade later, a much more comprehensive safety in sports grounds guide ( the green guide) came into force and provided far more guidance on seating arrangements. The midland rd stand and all other seating areas were constructed to the green guide. I agree that there is poor legroom in the lower tier of the main stand but it complied with the standards at that time.

 

Comfort was not the primary aim in those days, safety was. However, I would say the more room ppl have to move, the better their escape if needed.

 

Speaking of seats; when leaving the game yesterday I noticed white marks on the backs of quite a few persons. Is this the alleged bird poop syndrome

 

imagine not checking your seat before you sit down! People have to take some responsibility

 

It is not the lower tier in general, Rahic replaced the first 8 rows with cheap inferior seats which are a little bit more angled back than the ones they replaced giving less leg room between the seats, the sharp back ridge of the seat in front digs in to your knees and are quite uncomfortable to sit in

 

Spot on, he must have bought them cheaply, I am guessing no real research went into the them before purchase.

Mentions the cost of restarting the season at over £500k which will make the decision for most clubs in league 2 end the season very easy.
Also nice to see the club not wanting to accept just donations but want fans to get something in return.
