The way we perform in the January transfer window is laughable.
"Ryan Sparks discussed the difficulties of the January window, generally, with four strikers approached on deadline day who did not wish to make the drop down to League Two, or would demand up to three times previous wages to do so."
So on deadline day we approached 4 strikers from a higher division who didn't want to come and play for peanuts at a club in shambles with a manager barely clinging onto his job.....I'm flabbergasted

 

This is got me a bit here.....

Why on earth did the board consult ryan sparks for advice and opinion on recent matters, he is the twitter guy for crying out loud. What he thinks should hold as much relevance as mine or your thoughts.

So julian and stefan walk in, "hey up ryan we are thinking about sacking him", "oh bloody hell steffy boy , dont do that they will be hell to pay on facebook". "Will there, oh right tell you what then, well let him have another week".

Jesus wept, just who is running the club.

 

Isn't it recent matters relating to communication?

 

I think what's annoying about the answers is that the reservations fans had are 'justified'.

I don't want to hear that the board didn't want to interfere with Bowyer's management while he was at the helm when clearly he was one game away from being sacked. It doesn't add up. They say Vaughan was loaned out because Bowyer decided that was the way to go; what board nonchalantly signs off on loaning out their top scorer with the manager one game away from being sacked? Had the idea not crossed anybody's mind that a thumping at Oldham might be the end?

That's really not good enough of an answer, if it's true, it's pathetic, if it's not then at least have the decency to say "we backed Bowyer in loaning out Vaughan and selling Doyle because of the financial ramifications, not just because the coach-for-now insisted".

This really needs to be followed up at the next meeting.

 

There seems to be a lot of people on here having a say. Why doesn’t anyone get involved with the supporters board and have their say

 

Looking at the a agenda and minutes is not exactly inspiring. To sit and listen to the clubs reply to genuine fans grievances with the classic we don’t have the money, or you can have it but it will come out of the players budget is not inspiring.

 

plus isn’t it by invite only?

 

And his logic regarding McCall coming from soemeone who would never sack a manager and wants stability. Loves contradiction that lad.

Any professionally run football club would've had its targets locked in before letting players go.

 

What’s that got to do with having somebody on this forum that criticises everything that the club does on the supporters board.
