No idea why that happened, not seen that before. Plus having taken Doncaster end out of the equation, they then proceed to toss for who goes first!,! They should have automatically given Doncaster the option to go first or second as a way of evening things up. Was not impressed with that decision.

Are you sure you're not a secret SAFC fan? Everything you say is pretty spot on. It's really concerning that you've recognised all of that in the short space of time of watching us over (I'm presuming) a few games yet we couldn't fix those problems in January - especially the CM problem. Jack Ross is 50/50 with fans but he'll definitely stay. As I've said on here, we had a massive turnaround and he's coped with that fantastically with such little experience. Our board have set a target of 100 points on their newest podcast due to how many teams were on/should have been on 90+ points this season.
Portsmouth fans feel they're going to be selling all their big players which is a worry for them. All of our 'big players' are our high earners, so if they were to leave it frees up a lot of money, it will be a bit less distressing if that were to happen to us. I agree Rotherham, Peterborough, MK Dons and Ipswich will be up there next season with the addition of one or two surprises.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... I'd much rather have our owner wanting us to step up rather than being comfortable with where we are/what we've done.
As @How said though, it was a bit of a freak season.
Adam Matthews (RB): We've had since the Premier League days iirc. Was in the Celtic team that beat Barcelona. Been kept out the side most of the season by a CM playing RB (O'Nien) who we signed from Wycombe this season. Big wages I'd imagine so would be good to see the back of him.
Bryan Oviedo (LB): Another from the Prem days, one of our highest earners. Rumours crop up every now and again about Championship clubs being linked. Inconsistent but a good player on his day.
One of Our Centre Backs: We've got a fair few and they're all fairly poor. Ozturk has been the best out of them and he's only played several games.
Aiden McGeady (Winger): Team Of The Year, Sunderland's Player Of The Year. A good offer would see him go.
Lee Cattermole (CM): High earner, possibly highest. Found his level at League One imo but there's been rumours that Championship clubs are after him.
I've probably got it all wrong but those are my predictions off the top of my head.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...How likes this. -

Targeting promotion is exactly what I'd expect from your club but openly stating your aim is 100 points is, imo, very nieve and at best, a bit daft.
All you're doing with statements like that is giving every other team a huge incentive to take points from you whilst setting yourselves up for a huge fall if you don't make it (and the chances are that you won't).Lost Mackem likes this. -

Can understand what @NorthernMonkey is saying about it being too over the top but for me it's good that he's looking at the possibility of that happening.
I also don't think he worded it as 'target', think it was more along the lines of 'if we want to be guarenteed an auto promotion spot, we need to be looking at 100 points as 90 or 95 may not cut it'. It's in his newest podcast but I'm not going to listen to it all again for a minute long clip.
How do we reckon BCFC will flair next season? Would be nice to see both clubs bounce back up.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...How likes this. -

Man. City provided the first tier (Premiership) example -- it is something that they managed it over only 38 matches rather than 46. Your side did it the year we both went up to the Premiership.
As for us, I really don't know what to expect -- so much depends on the movements of players in and out. I'd like an immediate promotion, but I fear it will take longer.

Portsmouth for me @Idlebantam. -
They are in poor form for the play-offs. It will be interesting to see what happens to their squad if they are still a 3rd division team next season.
-
Very impressed with the squad that we've made it to not only the Play-off Final but also the Checkatrade final. If someone offered me that before the season started I'd have took their hand off. Before the season we had a squad that didn't want to be here, crippling debt (almost entering administration), clueless managers (see: Grayson), back to back relegations and looking asif we'd struggle in League One. Since then we've got new owners, no debt (as far as I'm aware), a squad that puts heart and soul into their performances (see: Leadbitter playing in the 2nd leg the day after his mother passed away due to cancer), a new up and coming manager who is only in his 3rd season of management ever and a club/team we can feel connected with.
This season has been a success whether or not we win next weekend. Can't wait.

I would change the rules for the play offs. If teams are still level after extra time the tie should go to the team which finished highest in the season.
