Eaves would have been a very good signing from Gillingham but maybe unrealistic with the clubs after him.

john Marquis signed a short team deal at Lincoln. 29 so has one good contract left. Shame, as he’d be the sort of marquee signing that would shift season tickets.

GK wise, I’d get a wise old safe pair of hands. Someone of David Marshall’s ilk. He’s only played nine times for QPR but he’s 37 and might retire…..but someone like him, with bags of experience. I presume Bass won’t be available.

The problem we’re going to face, however, is that Wrexham and Stockport (or whoever else comes up), along with Salford (if they stay down) will offer better packages to players.

Wrexham have deals signed with Tiktok and all sorts, including Netflix, and they’ll offer silly money and it will still be within whatever the % of turnover requirements are in L2.
