    Jake Young turned down 2 loan moves last week. Not sure If he is holding out for a permanent offer from someone, but he needs to leave us one way or another as MH as reiterated that not in his plans

    With a three year contract he can afford to wait for the move he wants. One of the benefits to the player of having a three year contract.

    That article also says he never went to Spain yet someone on here said they'd heard from one of Young's family that he did go but came back early. Obviously we don't know where those loans offers came from but if the rumours about him telling Hughes he doesn't know what he's doing have some truth to them, he should be jumping at the chance to get out there to prove he's right and Hughes is wrong.

    True, we can't force him out, but must be awkward for him training and hanging around a club that clearly doesn't want you.

    I wonder if the loan bids were from National League clubs and he is still hopeful of a league club.

    He flopped at Barrow so may struggle to attract a league club.

    Morecambe sound desperate for players, Threlkeld on trial with them at the moment for example, maybe Uncle Derek fancies taking a punt.

    Yes it works both ways. He can stew or try and progress. His choice RT. ? I’d try and progress personally , because the longer he carries on the less “ attractive “ he’s going to be to anyone. More fool him in that respect?!

    You and Idle both make valid points. For one reason or another Hughes doesn't fancy Young, from a playing point of view i think he's right. I don't know whats happened off the field it looks like Young isn't happy at the situation, understandable given that his options will be seen as a downward step to him. It is clear that he needs a fresh start elsewhere but i'm not keen on it being played out in the T and A like todays article as it looks like the club are putting pressure on him using the media. I'd prefer it kept in house.

    For what it’s worth, whilst Young scored some great goals, some of his overall play was very frustrating at times. Hughes doesn’t appear to be even giving him the time of day which is a shame. Seems there is no way back for him, no clean slate.

    The offers were non league. I think his time at FGR prove he has a little bit more than that.

    Maybe its reverse pyscology with Hughes. Challenging him to fight for a place. With Oliver out he has a chance surely....
