Didn't we sign a striker from India last year?

Looks like Bennett has been playing either as a Left Mid in a 442 or a Left wing back in a 352 in his time in Germany.

Well he would certainly fill a gap in the squad and certainly fits the profile.

There were a few L1 clubs after him too. Im sure I saw Orient in that list. Think Gillingham were too.

 

So the current crop of rumoured names...

Kyron Gordon (CB) - Sheff Utd
Ben Whitfield (RW/AM) - Barrow
Keenan Bennetts (LW) - Borussia Mönchengladbach II
Dominik Samuel (CF) - Ross County

 

My money is on Bennett’s … like I say the different competition statement doesn’t strike me as Scotland.

 

Lets hope it is him and not Samuel.

 

Bennetts and Gordon both seem of the age we should be aiming at.

 

I can see Bennetts, LWB, LW - a gap in the squad.

Gordon, im not against but not sure why. Hughes has said he doesnt expect any first teamers to leave. I can see FCD going but that statement suggests to me that Platt and Odusina are staying which means we have 5 senior centre backs.

 

Which suggests to me that we will be playing with three centre-backs next season.

Yep, loaded with CB's and a lack of accomplished wide men. We have options there if needed but after 1 or 2 you are getting to the square pegs stage.

 

He hasn’t said anyone is leaving true, a manager wouldn’t do that readily if a player is under contract and a new contract hadn’t been signed with another club.I wouldn’t read too much into MH ‘s comments in all honesty.

Just to reiterate - he didn’t say that at all. He said nobody is leaving at the moment, but as squads settle down throughout the transfer window then clubs might make moves on our players.
What he did say was we don’t have to sell (basically if a club comes in and the price is right, don’t rule out departures)

 

I'm starting to wonder if insiderbantam might have been fed a red herring about Platt leaving to try and find out who it is that's been leaking information.
