Saw that. Decent record the last couple of years. Interesting comments from fans at his previous clubs though - wasnt very liked as a footballer or a person.

 

Sounds like the wheels are coming off at WAGMI towers. Their CEO resigned at the end of the season, word coming out is that they cant afford to hire a new one. Fans online have completely gone against the ownership, with the fan base expecting another relegation battle.

Rumour is that senior players have been told that they can try find moves elsewhere if they want to leave, with James Tilley looking like he's the first key player out the door and it's looking like he should be joining Wimbledon. Budget has been slashed compared to last year, with some fans expecting Scott Lindsay may well resign, who is currently the 5th manager they've had since WAGMI came in. Likely Dom Telford is also asking to leave, a lad from the Manchester area who may want to go back up north?

Not sure about telford, he's literally only ever scored goals consistently for one season and I feel that he's on decent money purely on the back of it. I'd rather we looked elsewhere if I'm honest.

He also cost @JonButterfield a tenner. Terrible form by the lad.

 

I get what you mean, although 12 in 35 starts for a poor Crawley side isn't exactly a bad return. In fairness, Dan Agyei has only ever had one good season and I bet everyone wants him. Don't think he'd be for us anyway, we've already got a on season wonder on the books in Oliver.

Yeah, I'm with you on Ageyi, very similar stats to Telford. Ageyi has pace in his favour but in truth I'm hoping we've other irons in the fire whether that's a loan like Banks or indeed another permanent.

He's only ever scored double figures twice in his FL career and one of those was the dizzy heights of 11. Unless of course that counts as "doing it" with your exceptionally high standards?

 

Which two seasons were those? He got 17 in the league (20 in all comps) in 20/21 and that's the only time he's cleared double figures in the EFL.

 

He got the goals at the end of the season to keep them up. Surprised they didn't keep him.

 

In 20/21 he scored 11 in 43 in a relegated side in comparison Andy Cook scored 12 in 42 in league 2

 

In league two, you will find strikers that are past it, still raw, or have had one or two good seasons in their career. The Likes of Omar Bogle, Dom Telford, Tom Pope etc. That's League Two for you. Strikers that can consistently score 25+ goals a season will be found in the leagues above, or wont last long in League Two unless they have little resale value. So I for one am not fussed at the prospect of signing players who don't hit the heights every season. Cook will be the main starter, but we still need players that can come off the bench an make a contribution. Our style of play doesn't tend to suit Oliver, unless were chasing a goal in the last 10 minutes, an Derbyshire can't last a full 90 an is injury prone. We do need a player who can be relied upon. Whether thats Agyei, for his pace and technical ability, or Telford, for his ability to hold up the ball an bring others into play. As long as we aren't bringing in players like Lavery or Robinson to make up the numbers

Think you've got the wrong Telford mate. He's certainly not a "hold up" type player and given he's only 5' 7" I'm not sure he's suited to a lone striker role.

 

But got into league 2 side of the year and would have improved our side no end. It's a valid statement

 

How is it a valid statement? The other two earned moves to clubs in a higher division. That's just fact, not opinion on who is better.
