    Wyke is a good L1 striker and a great L2 striker and if offered to us he would be a significant upgrade on anything we had up front.

    The big issue is his health and if the rumours about his pacemaker kicking in and having to restart his heart again during training not so long after having it fitted is very worrying indeed. Any deal would need to be significantly in favour of us and would need us to provide top quality care for him. I would assume his insurance would be through the roof for him too.

    I'm not even sure that Charlie Wyke would be insurable at the moment.

    I suspect that he has been able to play at Wigan because he was already within their group employee insurance scheme. A very different situation if he wanted to change clubs and his health had to be underwritten again.

    There will be someone willing to do it but the premium will be through the roof. Signing Wyke will be a very risky and expensive signing for whoever he signs for. I just hope the lad can get back to the level he was at for us.

    The club were angry after the Williams last second snub.
    One midfielder, after being monitored for a long time and one other position hopefully shortly
    Also chasing another midfielder.

    Don’t think so.Was told Gills turned down £500k for him because they only had one striker at the time. After that he ‘went on strike’ and they were happy to see him move on.
