Sorry it hasn't worked out for Stuart but as some have said,
his health is more important than the obvious stress he was
under. His comment of "if he is still here" probably had more
substance than just an off the cuff remark.
Sarcasm came into his pitch side remarks to the players during
yesterdays game. Shouting at BRE to get a head on crosses and
then pulling him off when their 2nd goal went in. BRE needs to go.
Shouting "does anyone want to score a goal !" I think he knew
the players were not responding.
No good anyone going down to Apperley Bridge Monday to ask
the players if they are behind him. I don't think they were but
don't know why.
So, will the club go down the easy predictable route? Have they
someone lined up? If the former is the case maybe Parky is on
the way. However, expecting previous success to be replicated
is unlikely, it doesn't work that way. Would Parky consider it or
prefer a family Xmas instead? Whatever happens we HAVE to get
this right. Sparks will be judged on this.

Chris Wilder could be out of work soon, losing again at Southampton, second season in the Premier seems to have found them out as it has with many in the past.

All the new manager has to do is prevent us from dropping down a league and he will be seen as a great success!!

I hope that with the dire position we are in, it won't be a question of money, but more about getting the best we can for the job . This Club need the right fix and Rupp needs to splash the dosh to protect his investment and the Club's immediate future.
Sad to se it unravel for Stuart in the way it has, but his passion became higher in profile than his attributes as a manager.Wish him and Kenny all the best for the future.1975citygent and How like this. -

Poor team selection or formation, does not make you miss headers or open goals or leave your opposing man completely unmarked. This squad of players also have a lot to answer for.meelin and Briscabantam like this. -

Just to clarify, the extension given to put the club in a better financial position.
The contract was extended by a further year, but the total monies paid to McCall stayed the same. To put it simply, he was being paid less over a longer period of time. This was done in order to free up a little bit of money for recruitment wages in January.
This is very similar to what David Wetherall did when he was here.meelin and Botswana Bantam like this. -
I can't see McCall being paid enough where reducing his monthly wage by 2/3, or something in that region, would make a blind bit of difference to the number or quality of players we could get in.
If it did then he was definitely being substantially overpaid!!Old city man and Storck like this. -

I blame Jamie Raynor, Stuart just couldn't handle his probing post match questioning.

The club needs the football equivalent of a Red Adair, a very safe and experienced appointment who'll ensure (as much as anyone can) that they remain a league club come next May. Someone who knows the league and knows what it takes to be competitive in it. Giving the job to a hungry rookie now would be a massive gamble. I don't think they should roll the dice at this point. Give someone the job until next year if needs be, then spend that time looking at where they want to take the club come next year.Park bantam and Wakefield Bantam like this.
