Doyle, Taylor, Marquis or Armstrong for me. Would take Jordy back at a push as I think he could do well in this team.

If we get anywhere near a million for wyke Doyle for the £300k Preston are believe to be wanting and probably a bid of £600k for Taylor and that would be money well spent.

 

Marquis won't be for sale and already had bids for him turned down by Aberdeen and Peterborough. Doidge and Eisa out of our price range and Armstrong i think already signed up on loan.Billy Kee struggled in this league and Magennis doesn't score enough and would you want Jordy back? Taylor and Doyle would both be great at this level for us and Stockley is untried at this level but has something about him. Looking at how we have set up it looks like Seedorf might be playing up top because of the pace he's got but I still feel we need a target figure similar to Wyke especially now we have Scannell onboard.

 

Just think with the formation we are likely to be playing id like a big lad to replace charlie. If we are having players playing off the striker and the amount of wingers we have, someone to hit and around the box is imperative.. He's less fancy i get that but id love macgennis

 

If we got Doyle and Taylor I'd be back to singing ''Wer on our way......''

 

We're about the only club that are looking to sell a goalscorer, so I wouldn't think we'd find another for less money.

 

Do you think with our revitalised Huddersfield relationship we might get Hiwula back. I'd have him. Think he would thrive with players like Payne seeing the passes

 

Danny Rose at Mansfield. One year left on his contract, 17 goals last year. Probably suits our style a bit more than a target man would do but he's decent in the air for not the biggest fella.

 

If we get a million for Charlie Wyke we won't be reinvesting £900,000 of it. That's an absolute certainty.

 

I always thought Wyke was not the biggest - is that fair?

I doubt we are just about the only club selling a goalscorer TBH otherwise where would other goalscorers be signed from?

 

Matty Taylor and Marquis would be perfect signings.

 

Matty Taylor or Doyle for me, proven goalscorers at this level and if Wyke goes thats what we are missing.

 

I don't think we'll move for a striker until Charlie leaves because looking at how other clubs are struggling to get a striker it's going to take a bit of cash either on transfer fees or wages or both and Edin will want to know that Charlie has definitely gone before commiting the kind of expediture needed.

Or I may be totally wrong!

 

Unless the owners put their own money in, we aren't going to get more than one goalscorer with the Wyke fee. Apart from Kee or Hiwula, anyone from that list will do really. They are all good players.

Jayden Stockley would be great. Very good scoring record. I emailed the club to suggest taking a look when he was still up in Scotland. I got a reply saying they would pass it on to Greg. Since then, he’s moved to Exeter, but I think he’s from down that way.
